Nbt 9 color ambient lighting coding
Had anyone saw the 9 color ambient lighting on YouTube? I know it's a china retrofit but they say you can control it from the I drive. Does anyone know the coding to activate the additional colors?

very interesting...
To my untrained eyes, that looks like EVO nav, not just NBT... I found this thread: https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1205119 This allows for the 9 colours to be set through e-sys, but doesn't add them to the menu. Out of interest, is the retrofit to add RGB to a pre-lci car? Mine is Pre-Lci, but in the menu I can choose between White (sport) or orange (classic)... Does this mean I can code the additional colours in too? |

I spoke to a China supplier and he says the nbt is capable to code but he won't give me the coding until purchased for whatever reason. I wanted to make sure it works before I spend $200 on the light kit.

So, does your car have the option to choose between orange+white, or do you have no choice? |

Had it for awhile. I didn't code it myself but it's out there on forums.

I found it on AliExpress, he said he doesn't know how to code it, and I can't find any topic to show me how to code it via BimmerCode or other apps! |

You can't code via BimmerCode or any app. You need a computer for this. If you go on AliExpress, some venders show coding in there pictures.

That won't enable it. Trust me, I've been down that road. It's more to it.

Have you tried: Colour_SWITCH -> Aktiv also? i have a F31 2014 and with those above mentioned and this one turned on it showed up on first try. My only concern is that it shows the different colors like White/Blue/Blue, Orange/White/Orange etc how can i code those to display the right names?

Just today i saw on instagram that someone did that 9 color ambient lightning and instantly jumped on the pc to research and someone in a yt vid comment said its possible but tricky and im up for the challenge.
I was also wondering since i have a F3x chassis with the stock ambient lightning package is it just plug and play to the factory harness or do i need to redo that too? and try that colour_switch mine worked that way |

Shit. If you figure it out share it here. I'd love to have the correct colors in the menus. I had to rewire everything since the leds were aftermarket. I have oem ambient also but right now they are not connected.

Yeah sure i will and also i have been searching bimmercode now a few hrs in expert mode but cant find anything that is refering to it as of yet. But im gonna keep looking.
And you have done this? so you did use the aftermarket wires supplied with the kit? i am just trying to do the easy way and not do the complicated wire mess. |
