I agree with everything said above. Including everything that has been said about David S Williams (DavidSW). I bought my AP ROO Safari and my SS Daytona from him. He is awesome to deal with. My Daytona was a V Serial (had the updated clasp) from 2009 (purchased in 2012) that looked brand new. I think I paid 9900USD back in 2012.

I was offered a SS Daytona, black face in St Thomas at 10,695USD back in 2013.

So apparently Rolex will be releasing more SS Daytonas on the market.

Will that do you any good finding one at a discounted price? I know that's what one would hope, but I wonder what market conditions militate for that hope coming to fruition?

All the best.

I bought my Daytona new from stock of an official retailer, I asked for a small discount, the saleswoman just smiled and all I got was a Rolex Ballpen (was happy with that anyway).

The issue I have w/ retail is, well…retail prices.. but also sales tax. Add another 7% to the price here in FL.

Personally from what I have seen, for me it did not make sence to buy a grey market Daytona just to shave of 1k at the end, I prefer paying full and beeing 100% shure to have the real deal, all papers etc.
I have bought some grey market watches where you can get 50% and more discount but thats just not the case with a SS Daytona.

I bought a white gold Daytona from a trusted seller of Rolex Forum earlier this year, very smooth and easy transaction. Def the place to get the best deal, but don't expect a great deal.

You will probably find a below MSRP M2 before you find a below MSRP Daytona at an AD sadly.

I got lucky and walked into Baron and Leeds while on vacation in Hawaii and they had one in stock.
