VRSF downpipe without CEL light coming on

I currently have a b58 440i coupe MT with full akra exhaust, BMS intake, and DINAN tronic sport tuner. I am planning on installing a VRSF catless downpipe but i want to know if anyone has done it without the CEL light coming on. I know the JB4 can clear this but i want to avoid that if at all possible. Any ideas?

Newest jb4 firmware in the us and possibly Canada can not clear anymore, and eventually you will throw a cel not a big deal get a code reader and delete it

Would you mind sharing the link to the o2 spacer you're using? My VRSF downpipe should be arriving in the mail next week and I'd like to get a spacer put on with the downpipe

Anyone have a link to a spacer known to work? Where exactly in the exhaust path is an O2 spacer necessary to avoid CEL with a catless downpipe?

Just check Amazon, plenty of choices in there.

So basically... what we are saying is that these are generic and one size fits all type thing?

A 5$ works as good as a $20 one? Honestly not sure, thats why Im asking.

little bit on the 'expensive' side, but you will have adjustment options. Popular on the 911 forums and VW forums. Seems that the middle fitting is the one the general concensus goes with.

I have one sitting in my basement right now on an ER downpipe ... just haven't installed it because i dont have a tune. quality piece.

Get an O2 spacer. Just get a straight one. I made the mistake of buying an angled one that was too big and took the O2 sensor completely out of the exhaust stream.

I have a n55 with vrsf catless dp and jb4.

There is no possible way to have catless dp and have no codes unless you have an o2 sim

I took my car for the 30k inspection at the and cleared the code before I took it to the dealer. For some reason, the tech or the SA never mentioned anything about my mods and codes. Even when they showed me the fat stack of papers from the system diagnostic and nothing regarding my dp and mods or any codes even showed up

So can someone clear this up for me?
I have a ER catted dp on my 2015 f36, N55.
The CEL has come on and now there is a P0420 code.
I have heard that the VRSF DP fix will not work on my car and will not remove the cel and have the car emission ready for a smog test.
Would the O2 spacer eliminate the CEL and allow the car to pass inspection?
I am not looking forward to taking the dp and putting back the oem annually for the car inspection.
Thanks!

O2 spacer will work but it might take a couple different ones to get it right. Just get one of the straight ones. Don't make the mistake I did and get a really long angled one, it takes the O2 sensor too far out of the exhaust flow.

You are a lifesaver my friend! Finally a promising sense of relief!
Which one did you end up using. Can you send a link?
I was so not looking to doing the swap annually

The one I used didn't work cause it's angled. Just go on ebay or amazon and look it up for top rated. They're pretty cheap.

Alternatively, you can go into any auto parts store and look for a spark flog de-fouler/non-fouler which are like $5 bucks. If you buy 2 and stack them it will work as well but you might have to drill one of them out to fit the sensor.

Awesome, thank you so much.
I will give it a try this weekend. Did you have to take your dp to put this on or where you able to just replace with it on the car? My car is xdrive and space is tight..

Should be able to put it on without taking it off. Just pull the sensor off (make sure it's post cat and not pre cat), stick the spacer in, then plug the sensor into the spacer. I'd recommend putting some anti seize on the spacer so that it will come off easy whenever you're done with it.

Thanks man. I was wondering which sensor it was. Now i know to go after the cat.
So with your comment about putting anti sieze. Is this something you do just to pass inspection or do you have the spacer on all the time?

On all of the time unless you wanna deal with the CEL
