“Final UK spec has not yet been outlined, however“
So, RWD and halogen headlamps for us then?

Is it just me, or does it look like it's sitting very high (even for an x-drive), and on piddly wheels?

Agree, not a great departure, moving away from BMW 'core look' for a sporty model? Hmm, not seen it though so will give it a chance.

So, with a dedicated M Performance model in the line up, MPPSK's will be a thing of the past, I imagine?

It has 18s as standard just everyone ticks the msport plus pack and gets 19s to fill the arches better. God help them if they havnt sorted the x drive ride height!
Will be a cracking car but I can see It being VERY expensive, 20% off or not! |

Looks like the sister of an Audi A4. Did they really have to do the silver mirror cap thing?
And yes it looks to be riding as high as my 330d xDrive. |

They have been doing the silver mirror think since 2014. it's called feric grey and back in the day it matched the wheels. and front canards or vents. But nowadays the Mlites come with many wheel colour options

Oh right, hadn't noticed, always noticed it on the M1/240i but not the 3/440i. Seems more noticeable on this version.

I was referring to the Mlites M135/M140 M235/M240. Not the Msport cars which as you say were body coloured.

You are referring to M140i/M240i. I am referring to 340i/440i. That's the difference! Not sure why the 1/2 series have even come in to the conversation, we are talking about the 3 series and this is a 3 series forum.

Looking at how the new lift-related dampers work, have my suspicions aftermarket lowered springs are not going to work well with the OE dampers. Going to be interesting to see how the damping works, if someone tries to lower say 25 - 30mm. Front and rear damping characteristics are setup completely different. Ride height appears to be part of the optimum rear compression and front rebound damping characteristics. |

Also I wonder if the adaptive dampers will be lift-related too? |

Ok fair enough, but it is the direct replacement for the current 340i which is what it is being compared to, so I guess we're both right in our own way.
Personally think they shouldn't have bothered though, Audi S4 definitely springs to mind. |
