Ohlins BMS MP00 coilovers

Hi,

I had looked at Ohlins coilovers in the past and found that they did not fit on X drive cars. Today I was browsing Extreme Power House and saw a new showing for Ohlins BMS MP00. I checked the Ohlins website and it does not say anything about only being for X drive cars.

Does anyone know if this is a new offering by Ohlins that does fit x drive cars?

Thanks

That's just the RWD PN. No xDrive version.

Drag. Wishful thinking. I tried ECS Tuning a few minutes ago and it came up as not fitting. Thanks for the reply.

Trying to find some coilovers. I have Bilstein in other cars/trucks and I had KW Variant 2 on my last “fun car”. Wanted to try some Ohlins, everyone speaks very highly of them.

Probably down to KW Street Comfort or Bilstein B16 Comfort.
I saw a thread about the KW Comfort and Ohlins offering a “flat ride” characteristic.

Is that still accurate, and what specifically does that mean?
I thought I knew stuff.

What is your suspension lowering target?

I've had very good experience with KW Street Comfort coilovers in the past.

Modest lowering goals. The car has the M sport package, but I still find it a bit soft. Stage 2+ power levels, and getting aggressive, I would prefer less roll, dive and all that. If I want super smooth, or planning on rough roads, I’ll take the F-150.

I really liked the Variant 2 KW on the Legacy Spec b, but don’t need to get that low. I also understand x drive doesn’t respond well to extreme lowering.

This is all about performance.

That's correct. Lowering xDrive vehicles too much can cause issues:

The reason why I liked KW Street Comfort coilovers is the ability to maintain near OEM suspension height if needed.

Here's a quick bit on flat ride (start at 0:37)

You can also use my new F3x suspension calculator to see what setups/spring rates will give you flat ride.

I was originally planning to get Ohlins before learning they are not available with xDrive. I ended up with KW DDC coilovers, which allow you to adjust the dampening on the fly with the M Sport rocker switch (comfort, sport, etc.). I've been very pleased with them. My vehicle is a wagon (F31), but suspect they are great on all platforms.
