You can't run 60mm springs on b8s in front without a plethora of adapters I'd imagine. You can probably get close with an m-perf spring then do a HAS setup like Farkie has done in the rear to use 60mm springs.

Ryan....Thanks. I did have some of the technical data for my 428i GC.
Andino I got it.... coilovers have somewhat standardize springs so with a base you just replace the spring. I guess I have to look for rear spring to match the front.... somewhere about 17kg/mm .... I know I know I have to plug in the numbers.... I'll do it. Last edited by Gen13 F36; 05-16-2020 at 06:00 PM.. |

Chatting with the guys at springrates.com a little bit and for all of the options that they sell with customize-able spring rates the dampers are also re-valved to match. So that might provide some affordable pseudo OTS options for some people.
It looks like these are the customize-able coilovers they sell: BC Racing BR and ER Fortune Auto 500 Series and Muller MSC 1-way Silver's Neomax 4k Front and 12k rear should be a good spring setup on all of those. I also had a set of Ohlins R&T with custom spring rates re-valved on my previous car that worked really well. |

I already been in contact last year with Fortune auto 500 series before I heard of bounce ratio, they have choices of spring rate you can order or you can call them for custom rate. Back then I read somewhere that I need 3 times more spring rate for the rear than the front without knowing why. Now I know why
I'm just not sure with the everyday drivability with the monotube shock design they used. Some people attest that they are too hard for the street. This forum is a wealth of knowledge. Thank you to all knowledgeable person here. |

Monotubes aren't inherently detrimental to ride quality. If a manufacturer overpressurizes the nitrogen gas bubble/chamber in them though, then that can hurt ride quality because the car has to overcome that much more force before the damper starts to compress/work. If you're getting a semi-custom unit built (like Fortune Auto), I'd definitely request they minimize the gas pressure to only what's needed to prevent hysteresis.
