Question SugarLand Texas

Never been to Texas.

Will be there for a week in October. Anything to do or good places to eat?

Will you be able to drive to Houston one day?

My favorite dinner destination in Houston:

Not sure what I will be doing while I am down there. The person I am going with will be working during the day so I will have the day free but by myself. Evenings and morning with her. I am hoping to use this thread as a reference of things to possibly do.

Thanks for the reply.

The Houston subreddit and other related subs on the sidebar are a pretty good guide. Check out some of the BBQ places. You really can't go wrong since each one has their own thing.

Sugar Land specifically has plenty to do. Blendin Coffee Club roasts their own beans and will brew for you in a variety of ways. Some restaurants I like in the area are Brandini's, Jupiter Pizza, Cooking Girl, and Singapore Cafe. Perry's Steakhouse has a killer pork chop lunch special on Fridays if you can make it.

Any specific interests or things you've considered checking out?

Thanks for the info.

Probably just food lol.

I will be alone during the day so not really into site seeing alone.

This. Great suggestions. If you get the pork chop lunch special....make sure you're hungry. Dammit, just talking about it now is making me sad about my lunch today.

+1 to all those places he mentioned. (Haven't tried Cooking girl but I think i'll add that too)

In addition to those places, there's the local/local franchises that do a decent job. (These would be further down the list except for Torchy's)

Torchy's Taco's - Decent tex-mex and decent drinks
BonChon - Korean Fried Chicken
Frenchys - Ghetto fried Chicken (But not always in the ghetto)
Canes - Chicken Fingers (Get extra Cane sauce. Get the Lemonade)

If you could venture out into Houston, about 10-35 minutes away depending on what side of Houston want to go to.
