335d dual exhaust conversion - Rear diffuser

Looking for some advice from those that have had their 335d converter to dual pipe exhaust.

I have the M-performance rear diffuser. Just got a quote from BMW for the 335i/340i equivalent and its £389. I am not willing to pay that on top of the exhaust price. So I have 2 choices

1. Get a replica M performance diffuser. Are they any good? Where do you get them from?

2. Fit the standard 340i diffuser, which is only £75. Will i look crap?

I think the standard 340i diffuser looks nice and understated - here is mine

Did you pay close to £400 for that diffuser? I have been quoted £350 for the exhaust, which would be £750. Just does not seem worth it considering its for aesthetics only

I just got a replica diffuser, and it's worked fine for 3 years. I actually have a standard 335i rear apron too, as I've got a tow bar, which ever so slightly catches the diffuser, but I don't use it often enough to worry about.

Another vote for replica diffuser. It looks so much better and you can't easily tell it's a rep. My setup was from Fastlanestyling (car is now sold)

My diffuser is replica from DMAuto and painted in Gloss black and paid £250 for dual conversion

I just took backbox off but kept standard sound so can’t even tell it doesn’t have backbox

I see what you mean now. Get a 340i exhaust from cat to the tailpipes which would include the backbox.

Yes please send his details and I will speak to him about it.
