I don't have MCU for Evo that's why didn't test it.

LVDS cable is the same 6-pin.
Can't compare the main android harness since I don't have the Evo harness sample.

I updated to this 200805A MCU on my Avin 720p Android 10 HU. Not sure what the A means either. However, everything works great and it actually fixed a minor issue that I was having from a previous MCU update (DC1-200709). The issue was that the very bottom horizontal line of pixels would display random colors unrelated to the rest of what was being displayed at all times.

Haven't noticed any issues and it does feel a bit more stable than the previous MCU that I had. This one is a keeper in my case.

EDIT: I just realized the post that you were responding to was not addressing 200805A, but another MCU that also ends in A. In any case, I'll leave this here as a report on having tried it anyway.

Sorry for my late reply. I tested to connect other bluetooth device (phone) to the android bluetooth
after a OBD bluetooth dongle connection. And find out it is not work.
(phone connecting, not to HU "BT app" function, but from android menu)

I also tested connecting OBD to android HU bluetooth, then connect to OEM bluetooth to my phone.
In this case, seem to work but quite unstable　（interference, maybe).

I suppose two bluetooth connection, OBD and other epuipment is not compatible.

So I asked my supplier to send me the MCU version for my device and she sent me the software update and MCU update.

the SW update was to version 2.3.0

the MCU was to version: 615095dALS-NBT-GTH-DC-20072

so this means that the A at the end was not an issue.

Yes, you plug an extension into the audio out of the new wiring harness and plug the other end to the aux jack under the armrest. No need for a splitter unless you want to plug another device into the same jack under the armrest.

If you got no sound, you can try changing the Aux switching, in the android settings, from manual to auto or vice versa. Whichever works.

I've consulted with BMW specialist and it turned out that even LVDS cable 6-pin is not the same for NBT and Evo, they have different power and pins connections. Perhaps pins connection plus MCU for Evo (which I don't have anyway) will do the job but I don't have time and desire for such experiments.

You've given me a good hint. I've ordered on Alibaba the HU for F30 Evo and will use the fixing plastic around it for F48, instead of buying HU for F48 which is way more expensive. Then I will sell F30 NBT HU. Bingo!

Btw, this bmw is number 29 cars I have had so far, from 2 Mb to 5 Audi A4, to 3 passat, to 4 ford - the last was Ti 2015 full of options - the first was XR3i in the years '88, to 4 opel, to toyota's, to mazda 6 svt , to 3 peugeots 306/406/506, and so on.. and I don't have to add the trucks as my work: MB / Daf 95 & 105 / Scania / Man / Volvo.. etc... it's a cars diseases, I spend my money only on cars.

You can use a WiFi obd dongle instead. I've used it and it worked, but for me it's useless. For diagnostic I use my laptop with all the official BMW tools.

That is true, and correct what our forum mate said, I also had an obd bt dongle, used 2 sw with it, one is Torque pro and the other was inCarDoc pro (also have Bmr-Code + Bmr-Link apk's), both obd apk's files gave no real diagnostic while when I took the car to an old friend of mine who I haven't seen him for about 12 years, he is really a Pro in bmw's cars (literally) and also did a car tune (more horsepower) when he hung my bmw on his own pc and read it, I got a message to see that the alternator was not working properly as it should, and then he asked me, had you replaced the multi-belt or had a problem with it? I said, that's right, after replacing the multi-belt, it went loose by some reason after about a few km's and I got that warning: battery is not charging, and then he learned the alternator again, the cost of reading that joke is only 5 euro (for me of course) after that no more message to read from the car.

Summary: not everything can be seen (reading) with such apk's file and 10 a 20 euro obd dongle in comparison with the real bmw software and pc.. But you must be a good sw (error's) code reader and to know what you to do, not everyone could; read, reprogram, and reflash a software code!.

I have also bought 10.25 android unit to my car. It is 5 series F10, but since all the discussion has been written here, I decided to post my question also here, apologize for that.

My android unit is made by Andream and it has inside snapdragon 625

MCU ver: 415187dLZH-NBT-GTH-200615-B18
App ver: Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v1.8.2
4/64GB

Question is, can I set iTunes for the default player and get it work nicely on screen. Also controllin via iDrive would be awesome.

I already managed to change from the factory setting that by pressing left "music" button, it will launch iTunes, but if I roll iDrive knob, music tab still play music from the hard drive?

Love the unit already, just need to adjust all good and easy to use.

First, update your A10 to the latest firmware v2.3.0 and also try to get a new mcu file from your supplier, ask him every month if he / she has a newer one?.
I haven't used this iTunes myself but you can try via factory settings, maybe you can find that "option" in button mode?

I would like to see iTunes as a default player on main menu and be able to control it via iDrive knob and yes we are talking about android side. OEM side works as it should.

Currently if I opened iTunes app, I could ofcourse play the music thru the system, but it is not optimized to android screen. For example played artist image showing only far right in tiny window. If I return to main menu, music plays, but I'm not able to see artist or song name.

Basically I need some kind of dashboard, where all needed information can be seen in one screen. iTunes player, navi maybe weather etc..

I'l not familiar with iTunes, don't use it. Not all players are well designed for different screens. It is standard for all players apps afaik when you return from player's UI to the main menu you can't see artist t song name.

Usually I split my android screen for two apps - navi and music or video player. This king of set up will allow you to see what you need.
