Splash is a stock one (as long as it has booted to change ? ) and also no Bootanimation installed ?

He posted up a video showing the issue... it's all stock, but very bizarre.

I don't know to be honest, on one hand when it misbehaves it looks like LVDS hardware issue, but then switching to OEM and back to Android cures it

I have problem with connecting Torque to OBD2 dongle via wifi (Vgate iCar2 wifi). Everything works fine on iOS and Android phones.
HU sees dongle network and manages to connect, however Torque doesn't connect.
In Torque options I set correct IP and port.
HU version 2.1.0 with root

Do I have do anything extra for the connection to work?

Wasnt that the same kind of issue nicholas had with the GPS splitter ?

EvntHrzn do you have connected the chinese GPS mouse or are you using a splitter ?
If using a splitter, remove it and connect the mouse for test.

Installed android 10 unit and aftermarket rear camera. Anybody had an issue with front parking sensors audio beep? Graphic changes colour so sensors detecting.

A small hint, maybe its better to remove the information from where you have the update, not that the share will be closed when they get aware of that

Nope, stlll strugling pff

This Mekede HU seems not to have a boot menu. The trick from the frontpage with chaning the usb name and renaming the zip is also not working.

Took it out of the car now trying to find a sollution behind my desk.

After pushing the reset button (also when i push it for ages) only reboots into the oem look of the bmw. No Android id 7 part.

The boardlayout is pretty the same of the SD625 units, so even if they are not marked, they should work as described in the guide.

Exactly, it's very strange. I have ordered another (same) unit from AVIN, so I will have the opportunity to compare it to the bad one before returning it.

I'm not going to update the new one, or even look at it funny! at least at first. Just to cut down on any outside variables in trying to determine if the issue is inherent to these units or just the first one was bad.

I have a splitter. But yes when doing research I found someone's post (maybe yours) that recommended disconnecting that as it may cause erratic behavior. I did that, but the issue persisted, unfortunately.

Something of note that I think I mentioned in my first post is that when I popped in my USB drive to update the firmware and the factory config, I kept the 720p bootnanimation and splash files in the OEM folder, as I have done for the last two units I have updated. I don't know if because of the weird nature of what seems like a baked in bootanimation it could have caused the ensuing corruption.

If that turns out to be the case, at the time I didn't think I was causing any harm, as it's the standard procedure for updating these units as I'm sure you have done hundreds of times. If I had noticed the weird and different way in which it boots, perhaps I would have held off on updating, or at least not messed with the animation or image.

You either didn’t connect the optical cable (thicker 2 wires with special connector) directly to the HU or you connected it the other way around

I have a problem with my Unit, latest Software, new Unit from Makede/Navifly (which I cannot recomend to buy from).
Everything workes somehow fine, the Screen picture is very blury, my old 8" was much better. But the real problem is when I go back from Android Apps to BMW NBT I get into the Page where it tires to connect to AUX and tells me that there is no signal or connection or alike. This is very anoying when switching back and forth.

Also is there maybe a shortcut using the BMW dials etc. to jum back to BMW NBT?

Hold down the MENU button on physical idrive buttons. This typically flips back and forth between Android and the BMW UI...if that's what you were asking.

Although, there is an option in the factory settings that needs to be set to the correct option for this to work.

I think generally though, this function is its default setting anyway. Not 100% sure about that.

Zlink reliability has been extremely poor. So bad that I went the Autokit route and now disabled android BT altogether. Too bad too bc it does connect and launch zlink. I haven't had Autokit do this reliably either.

Doesn't seem like anyone here uses zlink, but I'll try this update and see if it's any better. Last version had zlink working 25% of the time and Carlinkit/Autokit about 70%. Connection was much more consistent on Autokit

I upgraded to the latest app version 2.6 from 2.09 and previously I had full spotify control in carplay, now I have to control spotify on my Iphone app as nothing appears in the headunit except the playing now info, Can anyone suggest a solution please?
