Catless Downpipe for 340i

Anyone know if there's a catless downpipe for 340i? I'm assuming this removes a cat after the ones with 02 sensors. Does this improve exhaust note or increase power and can you do it with MPPSK?

I noticed that you have an M performance exhaust with your down pipe. I am planning on getting an MPE exhaust as well however I am worried it will not be as loud as I would like. Does a after market midpipe/downpipe increase sound from the MPE or do I need to get an exhaust from the same aftermarket company as my mid/down pipe.?

Im currently looking into MPE and AWE midpipe.

I have the mpe with catless downpipe and it is loud enough for some people for everyday driving. I personally want to go a little bit louder and was considering the awe midpipe as an addition. It is extremely loud because it is a non-resonated midpipe. If you go on YouTube you can find a few videos of guys running MPE with awe midpipe and see if you like the sound.

I went with a Wagner catless dp and AWE touring exhaust (axle back and mid pipe). With the valve open, it's basically a straight pipe (f**ing loud). The shifts are ridiculous.

With the valve closed, it's much more civilized and doesn't drone on highways. It's definitely louder than stock but not by much. Before I installed the dp, with the valve closed it sounded stock.

Either way, I love the setup with the dp and would definitely recommend the AWE switch path touring. Adaptable between a daily / track driver.

There is no valved AWE system for the B58 yet.

OP, I run the ER DP (4.5" and imo the best quality catless dp on the market) paired to Meisterschaft catback and when its open its louddd. I had a AWE axleback before but with a stock midpipe, and it sounded great. Pretty quiet in the cabin, but outside it sounded great. So yes I enjoy the sounds from the downpipe. With power, its not drastic but noticeable. Turbo whisle for days too

I debated on adding a midpipe to my catlessDP/AWE set up but didnt want to be loud as hell 24/7 so thats why I opted for a valved catback.

I have mpe and the er catless DP significantly increased the loudness. I've thought about getting the awe midpipe for more loudness. Haven't decided if I want to yet

Adding AWE midpipe will add a deeper tone to your exhaust

My first exhaust mod was an AWE Axle-back, then I did a ER DP, then a custom straight 3 1/4" mid pipe and I can say the mid pipe made a lot bigger difference than the other two.

ER makes one of the best downpipes on the market. Both catted and catless.. Check them out.

Both will improve exhaust tone, but the catless will sound much better, especially when paired with a stock exhaust.

Catless Downpipe will bring Tune problems on this platform and Throttle Closure issue which is terrible for driving experience.

It shouldn't if adjusted properly. With something like the JB+, then yes as there is no adjustment but with the JB4 there are user adjustments that will take care of the issue if it arrises.

Anyone fitted a de-cat downpipe with the MPPSK? Interested to see how much louder it comes? Or does it just pop and bang a bit more in sport?
