I had the Cobb AP on my Subaru WRX. Honestly a great tool. Super easy to flash tune, log, change launch control and flat foot shifting, read and clear CELs. I know they made it for N54 and N55 but no longer make it for newer BMWs. If they did, I would highly consider it for my 440i. Not sure why they stopped supporting BMW. They still do alot with Subaru, Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Nissan and some Porsche i believe. They used to support BMW, Mitsubishi, and Mazda as well.

Used both the OTS maps and had custom tuning done on my WRX with it. Tons of support from tuners (atleast in the Subaru market).

Just checked and there are new maps for quite a few of the maps with issues but nothing for Stage 2+ 93 which is what I need.
I am going to mail them again and see if that one is coming.

I submitted a ticket for it, looks like both the stg 2+ 93 and e50 were left out. But the stg 2+ multi map was updated. Assuming they may have just missed it.

Stage 2+ 93 new version is now up so must have just been a delay in getting the maps uploaded.

How does everyone like the new maps? Just dropped my car off for an oil change so can’t test it out. I’ve heard it actually feels both faster and more stable?

Yeh, I'd say around 10-12 minutes this time. Last time about 5-7 minutes for the full flash.

The bigger question was "Did anyone feel really uneasy when it said it was deleting DME data?"

Did very quick test with v2.3 today.
Code:
[INFO] 2022-01-28T17:45:26: Preparing map data for flash...
[INFO] 2022-01-28T17:51:58: Flashing complete, resetting DME and bringing other ECUs out of sleep mode...
So about 6 minutes and 30s.

The wheelspin issue has been kinda fixed, but I noticed something strange instead.

Can be reproduced probably only on snow (or gravel).
When you start driving and wheels want to spin, throttle angle and wgdc go to 99%, ignition is retarded to around -17 to -15deg, so it sounds like antilag
https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=61f4...90c649485dd319

Maybe I'll find the time to flash v2.1 back and do the same kind of logging.
But I think I have not heard that sound with previous map.

Also, greetings to people saying some of us cannot handle the "power" and all other nonsense posted.

I had a chance to check out the new Stage 2+ 93 map today.
The TC issue seem to be resolved. It's cold and damp here so plenty of opportunity to create some wheelspin.
As soon as the wheels start to spin the car starts cutting power significantly and manages the wheelspin pretty well.
There is still some spinning but it's very controlled even in 1st gear at full throttle on wet roads.
I also tried to spin the car in a wide open space and the rear refused to step out even when heavily provoked.
I wondered if maybe they had reduced torque in the lower gears so I reflashed my XHP stage 2 to ensure all the torque limits were removed. This didn't affect the result so looks like they have solved the issue.
R44's comment above is interesting as I also thought the way the power is cut sounds and feels different. Almost like a missing due to lots of spark being cut.
The other thing I noticed which is weird is that since flashing 2.3 the steering has a little more weight (less assistance) to it. I like this so not a complaint bit wondered if anyone else had noticed the same.

I have experienced the same. Every map fixes one thing and breaks another. I'm not going to run this crap on my car and be a guinea pig. I switched back to non custom rom stage 2 and all is fine again. The way they fixed the TC issue seems like a band aid rather than an actual solution

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. There are many ways to reduce power output. The OEM method is to have the car fall on it's face, and takes a while to get back off the floor.

Sounds like the way they are doing it (and successfully from posts above) is to retard power to prevent wheel spin, and keep the turbo primed so you have instant power and maximum acceleration.

So you want the car to have more power, but you don't want acceleration?

Here we go again, this dude is unbelievable. Has not contributed anything useful, just bashing other people.
I don't expect any fancy features from OTS map, just more torque and power.
If they want to add "traction control with antilag", then this should be configurable and off by default.
Currently this TC fix seems like a bad hack.

Not bashing anyone, just wondering how you get to "bad hack" and "bandaid". They cranked up the power, and your post above said that the TC is intervening now, and preventing wheelspin. Didn't you post that? Isn't that what the whole concern on this thread was? Did PTF not address the root concern? So you YOU don't like their implemented solution? Perhaps practice engineering before judging on how a solution is implemented.

If you want TC to work exactly like OEM, then unload the maps and go back to stock power levels and stop whining. Sounds like we gained a ton more power/response with 2.3 while preventing excessive wheelspin.

If I wanted my car to act OEM stock, I wouldn't have bought this tune. I wanted M3 power levels on a 3-series budget. That's why I spent the dough.

I just noticed, the maps seem to have been rolled back. When I looked halfway last week there were a few 2.3 maps available (also updated date).
Now all the 2.3 maps are gone for me (G series).

Same for you?

All the 2.3 maps are available for me but I'm in an F31 so guessing it's a different set of maps for the G series.

I am still flashed on the v2.2 map, stage 2 acn91. My car isn't experiencing any excessive wheelspin at all above what I would expect with a stage 2 tune, in fact, when I'm in sport mode I get pretty much full traction. Sport+ hooks very well and lets me get a little sideways when I push it. I'm not saying this "bug" isn't real, but it definitely varies from car to car (not user to user lol), which should tell us something.

I drive a RWD 440i coupe.
