Yeah I'm going to drive my usual route to work tomorrow where I often find the low down torque useful so will report back.

I know you previously ran D8 and switched back to D7 after my initial rolling road results, but did you notice any real difference either positive or negative?

Happy to try it for you mate, but as JLR says the 30d and 35d seem to respond slightly differently to these boxes so it might not give you anything conclusive.

I am on C7 on my 435d. I love the delivery, which whilst "more" isn't OTT. I have launched the car a few times now, but cant get under 4.7s 0-60. Doing something wrong, or change map? I am dropping the brakes at about 2k revs....

OBD Bluetooth reader and Tablet linked up. I did have it on E7 first, but didn't try a launch....Should I hold on for more revs, or does it peak at 2k?

Over last few days I've went from E7 to E8 (didn't notice much difference) and then moved it to C7 which definitely feels the most 'stock' like in terms of power delivery, but which seems to introduce more noticeable diesel clatter. I then went to D8 today and the low down surge is definitely more pronounced on this map on the 30d, although it definitely feels like it runs out of puff at around 3500rpm compared with map E.

Enough now or you will make me want to switch maps....

What's the preferred option then on the 30D

After all the back and forward mate....D7.

Lee did me a graph where he overlaid my runs on C and D and it's clear that D makes more initial torque which suits the way the 30d delivers its power combined with the ZF auto.

That's interesting experience - most of the 35d boys seem to find the power/fuel cut on map D.

Jumping from C6 to E7 might have caused your issues however, the Bluespark guys do suggest making incremental changes and to be fair I only found real issues when I was jumping between settings on the Dyno and the car didn't like the more aggressive settings.

Let us know what you end up settling on.

Speaking with Edd at Bluespark today about the fuel cut off issues that some settings can initiate.

Edd advised that this is the biggest limiting factor to increasing performance further.

They are working on a solution which plugs into the fuel sensor at the other end of the fuel rail and asked if anyone who has a 30D or 35D would be interested in working with them on development.

Ideally you would need to be near their premises - DH4 5RJ

Maybe a good option for a great value tuning box as well as a lot of insight into tuning boxes in general

I think the general consensus is that all of these dual channel boxes achieve the same / similar results - so go for the cheapest and don't get hung up on fancy packaging.

That said, the TDI-tuning box (https://tdi-tuning.com/car/bmw/3-ser...uning-box-chip) gave a good showing against the Bluespark at the last Surrey RR:

http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...ight=surrey+rr

I'm still happy with my Bluespark Pro+Boost and would only consider changing for a 'proper' remap outside of warranty period.

I have now got a DTUK 3 channel box fitted and am very pleased with it, will see how it compares to the Blue Spark box at the rolling road day.

It generally feels stronger throughout the entire range.

Hi folks. Got a 435d conv on order due end october. Was slightley disapointed with the pull on the test drive (coming out of a 3.0d s jag 700nm ) so i have bought a pro plus boost. How much different do the cars feel with them on ? Im hoping it gets the 0-60 well into the 4s from the factory 5.2. Am i expecting to much. Really wanted m4 but didnt have the pennies for it.

You could always leave the scissors, hair spray and rollers at home to reduce weight?

I would think mid to low 4s should be possible with the right setting on the BS box, read a few threads on here for the best setting.
