Getting ready to replace the original flange after 148K miles on my 13 335i. Been fortunate not to have suffered a failure. Got the aluminum Rein replacement from FCP.


How much coolant should i expect to lose when I pull the hose off? I have about 1/3 gal of coolant left in the jug to perform the purge.


Also, what is torque setting for the 10mm bolts?

Guess no one here has done this before failure. Oh, well!

When I changed this out, I didn't lose any coolant. And I tightened it down tight without any torque specs. It has an o-ring on the flange so it shouldn't wiggle out.

Thanks! I was hoping with the engine being cold the coolant lost would be minimal.
