Just got my first BMW, f30 340i xDrive. I kind of want to get the MPPSK because it would make the car sound a lot cooler. Even though it already sounds godly from the inline 6.
But I'm worried it'll make my engine less reliable? Would it consume more gas? Perhaps it would be better to just get a m exhaust? What do you guys suggest? Would it not be allowed? Just got extended warranty Thank you, Me |

MPPSK is the only performance enhancing component which comes with its own BMW warranty.
If you can afford it, just get it and enjoy the new philharmonic experience generated by the exhaust. |

I think I already answered this in your old post. JB+ and midpipe / resonator delete would do the same as MPPSK with slightly less sound for 2500$ less. You need to research more otherwise you wouldn't be asking the same questions again. Trust me and take your time before you jump the gun on this platform, there mis much information to be had

Hmm okay. I would be worried to get something that would void my warranty. Thank you for the advice, didn't see your comment on my last post! |

Not yet. But it's on top of my list of mods. In fact it's the only performance mod I am considering.

I have the MPPSK. It sounds great and the burbles are a riot. And YES, it guzzles more gas.
The sound makes it all worth it though. |

MPPSK is worth it if you can get a deal on it, I got it when a dealer near me having 20% off on all M performance parts with free installation, also no tax was charged so it came out to be 2400 OTD.

"BMW claims a 35hp and 39lb-ft power increase over the standard B58, increasing power to 355hp and 369lb-ft of torque. Prices vary depending on whether you have a 2-series, 3-series, 4 or 5-series 40i BMW. Looking specifically at the 340i, the MPPSK package can be purchased directly from BMW for $2,950. Because the exhaust can be purchased by BMW for $1,700, the cost of the tune is approx. $1,250. Here is a breakdown of what you are looking at total cost after install: MPPSK Exhaust System: $1,700 MPPSK Tune: $1,250 Dealership Install: $400 (we've seen quotes from $300-$500+) Total Cost: $3,350 Est. Taxes: $250 All-in MPPSK Cost: $3,600 Pros 37whp and 45lb-ft. tq increases to the wheels Maintains factory warranty & extended warranty Sounds great without being too loud Cons At $3,600 or $97.30 per 1whp, it is extremely expensive You're paying $1,700 for the exhaust system which barely adds power" https://bmwtuning.co/bmw-mppsk/ |

If you want to maintain factory warranty, but add a little bit of power and some sound, and don't mind $3,600 then the MPPSK is a great option |

Just do it if you have the BMW warranty. Sounds great. Nice power bump. Gas mileage tbh is pretty much the same but dependent on your throttle foot. Bought my setup from GetBMWParts and had my local dealer install it. No regrets here.

I have had the mppsk on my 2018 340 for almost two years and I think it is great. Not sure it guzzles more gas or if it is just me being a bit rambunctious by driving in sport mode a bit more spirited to hear the sounds. In comfort I have not noticed any real difference in mpg.

I got the MPPSK installed by my dealer a week ago. Loving it so far. I totally understand that there were cheaper options and that it's a high price for a few extra HP, but this was a safe option and the results were just as I expected. I don't think I've listened to the sound system since I picked up the car.
Now it's time for the LSD. Expensive path to a ZHP clone, but I don't care - I'll have this car for at least a decade. |
