Alternator/Battery Issues
Hello all,
I have a 2013 328i and recently got the "Charging Malfunction" warning regarding my battery. I was luckily able to make it home but now I can't drive 20 yards without having to jump the battery and then it dying again. Im thinking it's a bad alternator. I'm at 109k miles and thinking it's time to be replaced. However I saw a post about a bad RCS module could be causing the issue as well. The battery is fairly newer so I don't think thats the issue but could be wrong. In regards to changing the alternator is it easy to do myself? I am handy with tools and normally do my own car maintenance however I am a newer BMW owner and don't know much about the cars. Any insight on this battery issue would be greatly appreciated. |

You should have one of these to constantly monitor both the battery and the alternator condition. Never fix anything that isn't broken. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...e?ie=UTF8&th=1
