Since you rightfully filed the complaint and were refunded by PayPal, are you going to reject the package (Bricks and all)?

This is really, really unfortunate to hear... Honestly, I've talked with this guy on the forums plenty of time and through PM, so it's sad to hear that he did this to you all. I'm not sure if that was his plan from the start or if his scumminess came out when his turbo failed (Let's assume he did). Why turn against the community that has probably only helped you? This is why it's important for people to know, you really do have to pay to play. If his issue was he didn't have the money to replace the turbo and didn't want to truly sell his parts, he could've gone another way. I hope everyone who was scammed gets their money back.

I haven’t been refunded yet. It’s still in the dispute stage.

It is what it is, he also said at one point he was going into an M3. Which was odd because he talked about upgrading his F30. I'm still waiting on my dispute, but I'll happily cancel it if by some miracle he sent it.

Saw that as well. I figured he wanted the M3 and then figured it was too expensive, so opted to stay with the F30 and fix the turbo.

That being said, still doing a lot of digging on this guy. He made it pretty easy to find all of his info... He's filed for bankruptcy three times and is currently still going through one. Needless to say, I'm no longer surprised he scammed people.

That being said, still doing a lot of digging on this guy. He made it pretty easy to find all of his info... He's filed for bankruptcy three times and is currently still going through one. Needless to say, I'm no longer surprised he scammed people.

I just don't understand trying to scam people on the same freakin' forum. This stuff always comes to light to a point that I wonder how desperate could he be? Just keep posting the same FS ad until people stop taking the bait? How long do you really think that would have worked?

Yeah, desperation basically. The guy, evident through his records, is terrible at managing money and clearly has no issues filing bankruptcy three times now... I no longer put scamming past him. He was probably here for legitimate reasons and once the turbo blew, resorted to that BS. Why did he think he'd get away with it? I am stumped, too.

I think that what's most interesting that the guy, in his current job and assuming he's still working there, is making easily six figures and more. Why would you scam at that point?

: Then again, I'm making good money and don't toss that much money on mods in order to save. I guess he has no intention of saving and now he's spent all available funds. Not sure how people live paycheck to paycheck. I'm paying for 2 mortgages and still have enough to save. Some folks just need someone to regulate their money.

Six figures isn't a lot when you have a family, depending on where you live.

It all comes down to how you manage your money. That's why I have the 328. I have a rule of only paying cash for cars. I understand that with proper investment you can beat a car loan on return. However, the temptation to go big with something I can't afford would be too great.

His area of NC is cheap as hell it appears. I mean, yes, he could have obscene expenses in some department, but three bankruptcies now just indicate a lack of money management.
