Anyone wrap a daily driver?
So, black is fun and all... but what I really wanted was EBII. After a bunch of miles, the front end and the side skirts have taken a beating and need to be resprayed. Considering a wrap instead of an Msport bumper/skirt upgrade plus paint. Works out to about even money (buy the parts, have 'em painted versus the wrap)
Wondering if anyone has done it here, and how you've liked it. Mine's a daily, but miles are really low, and garaged in the South. Second... color, pics below: 3M Blue Fire (Lambo) 3M Cosmic Blue (Range Rover) Love to get your opinions! |

Im planning on a wrap myself. Probably wont be for a year or so but definitely happening.
I was wondering how much weight an F30 wrap would add? Also, what should one plan to pay for a quality F30 wrap? I like the second blue you are looking at above, btw.

Thanks for the opinion! That's the one I like between the two. |

Once you wrap it the clock is ticking, at some point the wrap degrades and looks like hell. I wrapped my 530 in Matte black. Bought the wrap on line along with the matte clear coat, then had the rolls laminated together. The rolls were 56"? wide I believe so you can wrap the hood in one piece. I wrapped most of it myself but needed a pro to do the front and rear bumpers. As I recall it was about $ 800.00 for the rolls enough for two cars. After 2 years I pulled it all off, getting all the glue off the car was a b*%tch.

Also, Ceramic Pro gets good feedback to protect the wrap, and lifespans approach 5-7 years. That's not bad.... |

It all depends how the wrap is taken care of... if proper protection/sealant is used ontop of it, it will last. I say go for it. my white bumper has some rock chips and it bothers me a little, but not enough to wrap/repaint

Been thinking of doing a gloss black vinyl roof on my red car. But what are the downsides or minuses to vinyl wrap? -Does it really look as good as paint? -Will it in 8 years? -What happens if I want to take it off? Maybe I should ask: -What might be the cost to paint my roof black? Murf |

That's how much I paid to wrap my F30 roof.

The shop told me:
"To wrap the roof, lines, and antenna in gloss black...." I assume the "lines" are the panels that have the roof rack mounts? Murf |

They can probably wrap your mirrors for only a few dollars more with scraps of material from roof.
