Bosch EU5 Injectors

How's it going guys, so I'm having an issue and wanted to see if anyone else has run into this. I am in the process of replacing my injectors. I have used ista to confirm that I do have EU5 injectors currently on the car and have ordered the Bosch EU5 injector but I notice that on the injectors that came in, there is no three-digit code for the flow adjustment/coding process.

I have confirmed by the part # on the box and on the injector itself that these are indeed EU5's. Additionally, I have reached out to the company I bought the injectors from with my VIN and the part number on the box and they have confirmed they are EU5 as well and they should fit my car.

Let me know what you all think.

Where did you get them? It's not impossible that they are fake, or not what they claim to be if they are from ebay or amazon.

I’m going to 2nd this.

Are you just replacing a single injector, or all?

Are they all like this?

Maybe just return them if you can and buy from FCP Euro or other well known source.

Can’t really comment as I’ve never heard of them.

But I know FCP Euro will get you the right parts, and their warranty is the best you can get.

I've bought from eeuroparts several times.

Never had an issue.

I would also agree; seems like a "Rock Auto-type" place that specializes in European models.

You're right, confirmed in ISTA as I had recently swapped all my eu5 injectors out.

Nope, you're wrong. It is the 3 digits circled and coincidentally, all my new one is the same as OPs, all 939

Funny because I have done this job, and am confident in what I wrote. All the old values correspond with this number, and programming in the new one resulted in no issues. BMW TIS also disagrees with you. Kies video disagrees with you.

Please confirm your source and post it.

Even EU6 injectors should have this compensation number printed, if pictures on FCP’s website are correct. Something isn’t right with the parts OP has where nothing is printed.

Here's a vid which does show the circled numbers in the ista procedure:

I think the problem here is your confusing a circle in the documentation highlighting the number to be the circle on the part. It's not even the same shape as the print on the part.

In that video 282 as a compensation value is an expected number. 939 is not, and it wont be the same for every injector.

This video is also for an E chassis, and here’s the TIS image for that car, pointing to the same location. Not a circled number.

I have to stress again when I did this I first confirmed the numbers programmed into the car matched the numbers on the injectors I removed, and they corresponded to the value I am indicating. I get the confusion, but the 939 number is not the correct number.

Is it worth pointing out that the pic you have there is showing the opposite side of the injector? Juiced, what's printed on the other side of yours?

It's..not (from the video). Or are you referring to something else? The values do appear in different location on different versions of the injectors.

Here's the full image from the E-chassis TIS for your reference.

Hey, guys so there is nothing on the back of the injector regarding the flow adjustment code. Here are some pics of the front and back of my injector. I posted a third picture of the box and wanted to see if anyone had a eu5 injector on hand. Could you confirm if the number I highlighted on the box matches the flow adjustment number on your injector? bc the 939 that is circled is also on the box. Sorry for the large pictures but figured large is better than blurry.

Ok, yeah that's very strange. Does your box have an authenticity label/sticker? You can check if the part is genuine here: https://protect.bosch.com/

Time to reach out to eeuroparts regardless.

That 3 digit code highlighted on the box is probably it? But weird that it wouldn't be on the injector itself.

Eschmacher Yeah, it does have the authenticity label I did check that as well and it said it was genuine.

I did contact bosch as well, just got off the phone and they said that it was strange that the number wasn't on there either.

Odds are I am going to return them. Sucks if eeuroparts is not legit they were a good source, or at least I thought they were.

I don’t think that’s it.

Here is my box. Date code on my injectors is Aug 2021, vs yours in June 2022, so maybe label changed between then and now, but that number does not correspond to the compensation value.

If I had to guess the 939 may indicate manufacturing location. My
Original injectors made in Germany have 060 code circled.

939 is the correct number according to this. The one circled is right

https://ibb.co/zVkdLCG

Source: So if you have a more updated ISTA image than I have for the F chassis, then let me know, but that one is dated a week or so ago and has the circled number labeled as number 2 in the chart where it corresponds to the compensation number.

Now, it brings us to an issue where, did ISTA change instructions? Did Bosch alter something? What number is the correct number?

You guys are killing me. No. I've already addressed that here.

This is an even clearer image. It's very clear the circle is from the documentation highlighting the number. Come on people let's use some critical thinking skills: The circle isn't the same shape as what's on on the part. The circle is comprised of white and black lines, which match the "tail" leading to the "2". THE FULL IMAGE OF THE PART SHOWS THERE IS NO CIRCLE. This shouldn't be that hard.
