Rattle sound when shouting door (F32)

Hi All,

I have been having this annoying issue since I’ve got the F32.. When I shut the door, it sounds very cheap and there seems to be something rattling near the door latch area. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Much appreciate it if someone can share their experience.

I have the same rattle

Hello!
Did you by any chance figure out your rattle? I tried rubber dressing on the seals, which may have helped slightly, but there's definitely something still rattling and it seems to be inside the door by the latch. I've tried putting pressure on the window when I close it, all the way or halfway down, still get the rattle. It's on both front doors but drivers side is the worst. Hope to hear some good news

Pull off the inner door card and have a look around. Search YouTube for how-to videos.

I've found that the little nub that goes up and down for the door lock began to rattle on one of my doors. I just started out of the blue and none of the others do it. Could that be it?

It's a common issue re: rattling. Some people have wrapped felt or a similar material around the top part to avoid plastic on plastic contact.

Carefully pry the little grommet out from around the door lock pin. Be careful they break easily.

Next cut a small piece of adhesive felt and roll it up (sticky out)

Test fit the felt into the grommet make sure it's enough material to let the pin fit inside but not too much, so the pin can still go up and down.

Use a pick tool or screwdriver to carefully stick it down.

Now carefully peel the backing and stick to the inside of the grommet and pop it back into the door card

The annoying cheap sounding rattles have gone.

You can also just wrap the pin but you have to take apart the door.

My way is easier.

Enjoy your BMW which now sounds premium and not like a piece of junk
