Fancy some new rims ?

A set of these rims will cost more than many/most cars, but the production process does show the art of the possible using modern methods.

Highly complex and detailed design and incredibly light. Looking at the video, the weight of the individual components appears to be minimal in the hands of the people handling them.

Will be an absolute nightmare to keep clean !

Looks like your car had an argument with a barbed wire fence and took half the fence with it

I don't even want diamond cut wheels. There's only one major stress in my life which is what happens when I scrape a wheel. I miss the good old days where they could be tarted up on your driveway for 50 quid.

I think you guys are missing the point.

It's a concept design to showcase the capabilities of printing complex designs in a more efficient way (materials and labour) compared to current methods.

Personally I think the combination of intricacy, light weight and apparent strength are pretty impressive.

Clearly not designed for, or affordable for, mainstream buyers.

Surely the wheels have been fitted after the fire ? I can't see how a fire that intense, and destroying so much of the car, could have left the wheels without a mark and the tyres intact.

Yes it was obviously a photo stunt but it did grab attention
