Also the Sony has chrome cast built on so you could save an input there
But if I buy a new amp I don't need to use the inputs on the TV

I haven't read the thread but last year I bought the LG OLED55B7.
It is brilliant. Getting it calibrated in a couple of weeks.

Ive got the B7. There isn't much difference between the B8 and B7. Just a couple of tweeks I think.

Yes they're virtually identical, just the B8 is £320 cheaper than the B7 was last Black Friday!

I've already found a calibration guide for it on the web!

Looking at price history on camelcamelcamel the B7 last black friday went down to £1500, then back up to £1800 briefly, then back down to £1500 in january, then back up to £1800 and gradually went down over next few months.

Pattern with B8 so far this year looks similar, but a couple of hundred less at each point (except for the coop price being £120 lower than everywhere else)

No problem, get that OLED ordered! It’s worth considering Richer Sounds though, they’ve got it for £1300 but it includes 6 years warranty, plus if the price goes lower on black friday they’ll refund you the difference.

Personally I just like the lowest price and gamble on the warranty.

C8 is almost in budget, hope Friday brings a few more discounts.

Been some interesting bits lately about the Panny, the new Philips and the Sony, but one thing the LG owns them all for IMHO is the OS, its light years ahead of Android and while the Firefox on the Panny is good (have it now) its a bit basic looking.

Even though our main tv is LG i actually find the samsung OS better...

For the Geeks out there the Tizen on Samsung has apps for my Synology NAS drive available - which webOS still lacks!

Sony with Andriod isnt implemented as well - but atleast yo ucan sideload apps to the tv.
