Flipping hell. This morning I've noticed a nail in my rear tyre. iDrive is showing no pressure loss.

Advice? Yank it out and see if it goes zero pressure?

I would put as much air in he tyre as you can - if it holds, head direct to tyre place. Once the nail is out, I am guessing you will be stuck!

Alternatively, call BMW assist if you have it? But hen you are at the mercy of BMW Deaer who will probably sell you at least 2 new tyres!

Drive very carefully to local tyre place and get them to repair it assuming it’s in a repairable place. Check first tho as there are many places that won’t repair rft even though it’s perfectly fine.

So I gave it a little wiggle and it fell out. The screw is a short one and wasn't all the way in.

That might not have gone all the way through. You could be lucky and it doesn't need repairing.

Was wondering how you knew the op was female, with referring to her in the native Scottish language as "hen" .... then I realised it was simply a typo

Is the tire with the nail a run flat or regular one?

Even if the nail did not puncture the tire, the integrity of the immediate area is likely to be compromised. If the tire happens to be run flat, it can still be repaired as long as the puncture is far away from the sidewall.

I suggest to inspect the tire and repair it as soon as possible.

Garage List
I had exactly this the other day. Took it to kwik fit and said I had a screw in the tyre. The bloke came in said he couldn't find anything. I said, must have come out on the drive here. Then he said he did find a small screw (almost exactly like the one above) but it hadn't punctured and if I meant that?!
