Double damn, they already do them ! , have you seen what some of them cost, don't think i'll bother for the couple of times a year it would be used, no point using it anyway as whenever you'd come to use it the batteries would be flat

Slightly OT, but related.....

Has anyone had an issue with their windscreen washer motor? Went to wash the screen this morning at -6C forgetting the wash bottle would probably be solid, got a second of the normal whine then a slightly worrying squeal then silence. Tried it again when the car had thawed out, still nothing. Have I fooked my washer motor??

EDIT: worked fine once the car had thawed out. Phew!

You said it.
One of the reasons for me not to enable automatic folding. I can always do it if deemed necessary but not the other way around.

A butane hand held gun is cheaper but you need to be careful with one without control for heat. Without heat adjustment settings the temperature would default to 1300 centigrade.

Some small gas ones online with a heat cap that doubles as a stand so no need to worry about where to put it when you drive off. My draper one lasts around 25 minutes on a single fill and using the lowest heat setting.

Not on mine. The more anti-freeze screen wash in the mix the better. A tank run on non diluted concentrate works up to -64 centigrade. I have a 50/50 mixture to see me down to -32 C.

Mines probably 1 part screen wash 2 parts water... and never had it freeze even at -10 last winter.

I have noticed though that once the car is warm the washer tank must be heated as when i spray it i get lots of steam coming off!

In my 3GT the frameless windows seem to operate fine no matter the temperature.

It is not about temperature and based on your picture I would not expect them to have any problems - they are just cold, but not covered in ice!
Problems (may) occur when they get covered in actual ice (rain falling just at freezing temperatures, water then freezing).
