Help finding correct pin contact for retrofit wiring PDC button.

So my F34 only came with rear PDC sensors. The one thing that drives me mad is not been able to disable the PDC after parking. It will only stop when I turn the engine off or drive forward.

I've managed to buy a used DTC/eco/comfort/Sport switch unit with a PDC button. All I need to do is run on cable and the PDC button should deactivate it.

Looking through the wiring diagrams on TIS I've found which pin locations I need to run the cable to/from (S69 pin 1 > A78 pin 28). The issue I'm having is I can't find which pin connector type I need to crimp on the cable ends.

Anyone got any idea how to find this info please?

I think you need one of the pin contacts from here:

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_1280

They actually come as a short length of cable with the terminal pre-crimped. BMW don't generally sell just the crimp terminals.

You can use any of the parts listed. The only difference is the gauge of wire attached. This one is probably the correct gauge of wire - 61130005197.

Thanks for the help. Am I correct in saying that it only comes with one terminal already attached. As I'm going to need another for the other end is this the correct P/N for a single pin contact?

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...17#12527522387

I noticed the P/N you referred to is also listed further down, also item 5.

Cheers

Yes, that part number will be a single piece of wire with a single terminal on one end. You’ll need two in total.

It’s listed more than once, as it will fit more than one size of plastic housing. It’ll probably fit in all the MQS housings shown on that page.

With a bit of research, you can probably find just the crimp terminals from electronic suppliers like Farrell & RS Components. I don’t think MQS is a BMW range of connectors. Most BMW stuff is made by TE Connectivity (often branded AMP). I’ll have a look when I get to work.

I think you can buy the terminals individually. Item 5 - 12527522387

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_2217

If so I think I would need

1 x 12527522387 - single terminal
1 x 61130005197 - terminal with cable

12527522387 isn't the correct part. That's an MQS1.2. You probably want one of the item 1 pins. 61131393724 is a good candidate.

61130005197 looks correct.

I think THESE are probably correct too.

or THESE.

Thank for clearing that up, much appreciated.

I'm surprised that TIS doesn't give details of the terminals considering it gives details on cable size/colour ect.

Thought I'd update this thread for anyone else wanting to do the same.

Fitted the cable today and worked like a charm.

Used the following:-
1 x 61131383776 single contact
1 x 61130005197 cable with contact
1 x 61319252921 PDC button switch unit.

The cable was just about long enough, ideally needed to be longer really.

Needed to remove the centre console which wasn't too difficult. No coding required, just make sure to disconnect the battery before unplugging anything.
