Got hold of a genuine BMW diffuser for a good price already painted, so swapped it over with my non genuine one

Can't believe how different a bit of paint makes it look.

That looks so good! Does anybody know the part number for the BMW one for the 440 Gran Coupe? I thought I found it but it said it was only for the 2dr Coupe. Thanks!

Looks really good Abzynthe!

Is the center section unpainted or does it have clear coat over it? Looking to buy one and do the same.

Looks sharp! Thanks for sharing. How difficult was the installation procedure?

I think it's been painted Matt black, or has a clear coat as it doesn't feel the same as unpainted.

It's really simple. Three T20 screws, two 8mm bolts and a couple of plastic push clips.
It takes about 10 minutes

are those side rear splitters easy to fix, do you have to drill new holes
I received these Maxton rear side splitters today. No holes so have to be drilled.
Abzynthe, did you find it tricky to install these and did you use all 4 screws for each splitter?

The diffuser looks great - got a link to where you bought it or part number I can look up?

Yeah that's right, you need to drill your own holes. I have three holes in each one. The middle hole lines up with the last holes in the diffuser, so I've only had to use two screws on each.

It's just the oem diffuser that's been painted body colour.

I’m probably the minority but i preferred it black! (Maybe as your darkened rear reflectors blended in more)

Although gloss black would probably looks better than matt - which i think unless you have the side skirt stickers looks odd and unfinished.

Are you tempted to get your side skirts extensions painted now?

Thanks. It's an oem one, I got it from a BMW dealer on eBay.

I wasn't sure when I fitted it, but I prefer it painted now.
I have since taken off the corner splitters as they didn't look right with the painted diffuser and I think they would look awful painted.

I'm not sure about painting the side skirts. If I painted them, I'd paint them white and get the MP decals. But I'm not sure if I want the decals lol.

I made another silly purchase for the car though. It's something to look at at the fuel station

The diffuser looks good and where did you buy the fuel cap from?

I got it from BMW. Part number is 16112472988.
Just to make you aware, its a cover and not the whole cap.

I also debated painting my new rear MP diffuser and eventually did go for gloss black, imo it looks so much better than the plastic matt black finish it comes with.
