M340i lease deals
Seems like the attractive/realistic lease deals may finally have landed:

That's not bad at all. they don't really need much spec wise but that's less important on leases.
Hopefully they will shift some tourings as well and this nudges the approved used prices more towards where they should be. Just found the touring 483 on a 6x36 https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasin.../2-36-8000-6-0 |

It looks like you can lease an M340i Touring for 3 years for less than £21k in total, I doubt you can PCP a second hand one any cheaper.....even if you bought one for £42k I expect residual after 3 years to be £17k or so.... (assuming its already a year old!)

That seems particularly pessimistic when current F31 340s are all above £22k right now on AT (except one Cat D one at £19.5k), despite being up to 5 years old.

I'm a pessimist! And prices are still a bit inflated. OK, so it might be worth £22k tops (allowing a margin for dealer in 3 years time) - still losing £20k on a second hand one if they are over £40k to buy....

I'd certainly agree that this lease is looking like a good offer. Perhaps an indicator that better discounts are in the pipeline.

Agreed, if lease companies are getting better discounts than they’d were, it bodes well for personal buyers in the next few months hopefully.

Gah I had come to terms with just waiting now as no point having 2 cars going no where....
I just rang and they are the new MHT model with tech pack as well so the price is 490 a month on 3yr, 8k miles 6 up front. 3 in stock MG, MW and black with black interior. Obviously if we were not where we are id be all over it but that's 3k and 500 a month of outgoing for at least 3months of not really moving id say. Best not have a beer tonight so I don't get the YOLO mindset.... |

are we saying 69 plate M340i's will be £22k mid next year? Looks like my next purchase sorted if that's the case.

I am edging forward again now. Looks like 4 Yr 8k 6months in is 478 and 3yr is 481.
My main nervousness about longer leases is if circumstances change and while you'd get stung by chopping in a pcp early it would be less than a lease. Also 4 year lease means a year out of warranty and... what with q2 round the corner is it worth waiting 3 weeks.... |

I asked my dealer about the April offers they were pretty non committal, I just think when car has a retail of 56k+ with some spec you need a chunky discount and 0% to get them to a level that for me is sensible as £650-700 a month isn't what I'd want to pay for a non M car.
https://www.petervardy.com/bmw/offer...-saloon-auto-3 I think the market has moved away from me.

I just can't get my head out of 2016 and the discounts and monthlies that were around for the 340s then, which is more my issue than BMWs I know! |

Well I have the fever again.. I've seen a new deal on a saloon pop up. 3yr 8k, 6month in for 455inc vat . Has metallic paint but not sure on any packs so might be a boggo m340.
Still that's pretty good and I cant see approved used getting that cheap with the high aprs and low gfv. I am waiting for a call back from multiple people now and wondering if I can live with just a bmw advanced stereo.... |
