No driving with open door
Sorry but I seem to be to stupid to use this search but I didn't get any results.
My problem is: I sometimes do some repair and want to get the car up on ramps. With my other cars I can open the door and reverse up the ramps whilst checking how far I am up. Now with the F36, the car takes the gear out as soon as I open the door. Can this be prevented?

Mine won't back up at slow speeds with the door open if my seat belt isn't buckled.

Are you saying that, with the seat belt being buckled you can reverse with the door open?

I trust you, I just wanted to verify that I understood right.
Nevertheless, Why do you need to have your door open, when you reverse into our garage?

Was really annoyed by this as well the first time it happened to me. Was gonna attach my trailer and I dont trust the pdc in that scenario. But it would not let me open the door and reverse at the same time. Not sure if I was buckled up tho. gonna try this the next time!

For narrow spaces, I'm glad to have no frame around the door. I slide the windows down the get out of the door, when there is not enough space to open the door wide enough. It just gives you a bit more room, for your head and sholders to squeeze out of the car.
