I was surprised at the strong WBAC valuation last week of £17k for my late 2016 C250d merc estate with premium plus pack at 30k miles considering I bought it at £22k retail more than 2 yrs ago for £22k at 12k mikes

Yeah, it's pretty crazy as a percentage so I can't imagine it's like that across the board but they're clearly not going to sell it for £25 more as they need to make money at the auctions and then a dealer would need to make money. Gives some comfort that I'll probably get £1k for it when I do sell it. It ain't much but it's nice cash in your pocket for nothing, as well as saving a few quid a month on tax and insurance!

No chance!
Better than the f chassis cars I'd agree but not the G, no full leather option for a start the idrive screen is better integrated in the BMW (and it's a better system) and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb plonked on the dash as it does in the A5, plus you don't have to suffer that horrible lifeless top hinged accelerator pedals the VW group insist on putting in most of their models, plus you get a much broader range of interior trims and leather options with BMW you can hardly choose anything when speccing an Audi. All the G chassis cars have the measure of their Audi counterparts these days when it comes to interiors.

I prefer the nappa leather and seats in the Audi to the normal BMW fair (havent seen a full leather option close up - how does that fair on monthly costs?) I drive is better - I was talking interior not tech. The screen on the dash to me seems no worse in the Audi than it did in the M5 or SILs M340 and its easy to see. I cant say the accelerator bothers me one way or another. I'll stand by my opinion thanks, but accept that you are welcome to yours. It is just that though, opinion not fact! And we havent even started on the outsides yet |

I've driven a friends 2020 audi a4 50 tdi and a friends 2021 330d and the bmw definitely was the better place to be in audi was more grey snd sombre in feel whereas the bmw had nice Ash woodgrain trim matte with mocha seats very nice. Seats were more comfortable in the audi but the bmw drove better overall IMHO

I had light grey in a mystic blue E46 320d MSport T, I had red in a dark grey Alfa 156, family complained incessantly about both.
I had oyster in a short term 520d company car, and I hated it after a few weeks. Dont know why, just wasnt me. Been black ever since (except Tartan on a Golf GTi.... still the best!) |

black interior has its advantages like never needing to use Dr leather wipes like I do every month since last few years since I took a liking to a light interior(but the wipes leave the cabin with such a nice smell) but on the plus side I really like a nice and airy feeling inside the cabin. Audis are almost never available in anything other than black or grey interior so they are quite restrictive in choices they offer to the non black loving customer.
