Had a Jura F6 for a few years, now got a Sage Oracle Touch. Love it and it makes superb coffee and being duel boiler you get the milk & coffee all going simultaneously. Need to perfect latte art still but the drinks taste really good.

Overall just get any half decent bean to cup machine. Quality of the beans is important too. Coffee beans hot water nothing else in your coffee all natural.
I had Honduras single batch. Then combian supremo then malabar beans then Ethiopian beans etc. Its amazing to be able to enjoy different earthy tastes all black coffee of course. Bit like whisky/wine tasting. Much cheaper per cup of course. |

To be fair I bet I dont drink two cups of coffee in the house a month - maybe even a year. Given the choice, tea..... twinings breakfast, semi skimmed milk, on the weak side, in a great big mug....Bliss.

My last employer had a fancy bean to cup solution in the office. Did nothing for me. I dont think I really like coffee. I love tea. And pepsi max. And malbec
My son in law loves fancy coffee. But then he is a brand snob. Is it the taste or the image? You need to do a blind test to see what you really like... |

I sent it away for an (expensive £150 parts / labour and courier) service and repair (I had the solenoid replaced and I replaced the pump as a precautionary measure since the machine was in bits for the solenoid replacement) and it is back and I'm hoping for another 5yrs of trouble free use. To be honest, 5 yrs without a problem is good going and I was happy it could be repaired / serviced, as I like it I mainly use it for espresso and take ua double every morning. 250g will give 15x18g double shots. The wand makes good hot milk, but I keep that for special occasions rather than routine. Just due to time it takes to clean ( maybe a minute) Boiler is operational in about 30 sec from cold, cleaning it is as simple as wash out the drip tray when you top up the water - maybe once a week - descaling and tablet cleaning less frequent & machine tells you when required. cleaning is easy, descaling tablet cycle maybe every 3-4 months. ( But we are in soft water Scotland, so limescale is not an issue here anyway) I like it Think where you might put it in the kitchen & check it will fit under your high cupboards. The bean hopper might get in the road. I've got a spot Last edited by moonshine; 04-14-2021 at 01:17 AM.. Reason: extra info added |

The way it grinds and tamps means it makes much less mess than doing it yourself. The oracle tells you when to descale and clean, though I rarely bother as our water is so soft. |

I have a Saeco Intuita machine which delivers espressos at the touch of a button and has a steam wand for frothing milk. I've had the machine for over 5 years with no issues. The machine has a lamp indicating when a descale is required and cleans its own tubes when it starts and when it is turned off.

I have a Krups automatic coffee maker. It does the job well and is fully automated to make the coffee shot. You then simply have to steam the milk.
It also tells you when to descale and clean, which is about every 3 months. |

I get that sentiment however I say no to instant coffee, I grind my beans but use a simple cafetiere to brew, I'm amazed at the money people will spend on a coffee machine and more so that so many of them have it to spend.

"I'm amazed at the money people will spend on a XXXX.....but its fine for me to spend XXX on XXX" Its easy to judge, but if you can afford it who cares how you spend money, its pretty useless when you are 6ft under - which is the 100% guarantee in life at some point for everyone regardless of how much money you have in the bank account when you are about exit the world! I couldn't be bothered with unscrewing the back panels, but what metal work hidden I can see looks fine. I do admit not been that regimental about cleaning all the coffee residue though, but I do carry out the descalling every month. Our one is 2 years old now, used 2-3 times a day every day, hardly ever buy coffee when out and about now as we rather just come home to have it. |

When they were closed during the lockdown last year I tried a few online ones and the best I found were https://www.liminicoffee.co.uk/. Their Kata blend was nice and smooth. |

I had a milleta bean to cup machine, it was expensive and at first it was great. But bean to cup machines are mechanically quite complicated and often have associated complications down the line.
I ditched that 12 months ago in favour of a sage barista pro, which is Semi automated. It makes a cracking cup of coffee and just as easy as the bean to cup, and far far more reliable. For coffee, I use grind house, I think they are very reasonably priced and have a good range.
