Active Autowerks B58 340i downpipe

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this down pipe? I’ve been looking to get the VRSF cat less ones but their site says out of stock since 7/24/20 and they don’t respond to any emails. Anyways, let me know what y’all think about this downpipe.

I've had the catted one for about 6-7 months now. It's been great. No CEL, no problems. Been running BM3 stage 2 with it with no issues. Now I'm on the E30 map and love it.

Do you have a sound clip or a link? I’m curious to hear the sound diff between catless and catted.

No rev videos with just the DP unfortunately. I have a cold start vid and some revs with the DP paired with a Remus axleback and a few with showcasing the AP intake. Basically the catted is louder than stock but not as loud as catless. The Remus is just the axleback and I still have the resonators in. I’m debating deleting.

I’m probably going to go catless and I just wanna make sure people had some experience with the AA. I know at the end of the day it’s just a pipe.

I'm getting the AA catted downpipe installed on my 2016 340i xDrive tomorrow. I'll post a video so you can hear it.

Here you go. I got the AA catted downpipe installed today. It's definitely louder on the cold start but not too obnoxious for me and then it settles down to a nice sounding note. The car pulls a little harder and I can hear the turbo spool a little more now. I haven't driven it much yet with the new downpipe but my first impressions are very good. And no CEL!

Sounds great!! Congrats again. But honestly I’m thinking of going catless but nobody has the AA catless version.

I have a guess as to why few people have the catless AA. Most of the diff between catted DPs are the cats. People are willing to pay more for "better" cats or no CEL guarantee. If you're going catless none of that stuff matters. I can't imagine there is that much diff between catless AA, ER, VSRF, etc so why pay for a higher end brand. Just an opinion, I could be wrong.

Having had both a VRSF and ER catless dp, the VRSF sounds line a can of nails, the ER sounds well rounded. Can only assume it comes down to material of construction.

i can verify mike at x-ph is great with communication. i basically bombarded the shit out of him via email and he was helpful throughout the entire process. i ordered the b58 combo on july of this year (2020). the DP was back ordered and he went above and beyond getting me the part i ended up going with.

Plus one on this....

I've been pestering x-ph about parts and when they'll be arriving. My down pipe was back ordered so I went with another brand and it was at my door two days later.

Customer service has been great and I'll be ordering from them in the future.
