This was on Spool's website... very interesting... granted it's a Helix for the N54/ 2011 N55 but look what they are claiming for mixes....

"We have differentiated our current overdrives into two for different end-user scenarios. The Helix will support up to 600whp worth of flow on full e85 and 750+ on e60 mixes. The Helix Xtreme will support 750whp worth of flow on full e85 and 850+ on an e60 mix or other gasoline blends. Helix is currently ready for launch and the Helix Xtreme is still in longevity testing."

If E85 maxes out stock turbo then just for the ease of it stick with E85... Guess we have some experimental tuning to do... being on MHD with the Torque nms it shouldn't be a problem...

I saw the helix earlier this week, it's an interesting set up, I'm curious to see some feedback on it, I like what I see on paper tho

So there you go.... looks like I'm going Spool.....

Bet you any money that was the trick and LPFP still working... shoots out 1.34cc .... Dorche stage 2 shoots out 1.465cc.... Dorch stage 1 = 1.221 Supra pump 1.1.... Spool must be in the sweet spot for everything to work...
I dont really see how going to dorch stage 2 over the spool would lead to a LPFP issue... having a HPFP with a little more capacity shouldnt strain the LPFP unless the fuel system is setup in such a way that the HPFP is always going to flow at full capacity and it will just return additional fuel if you don't need/use it? Is that how it is setup?

Guess we are gonna find out... gonna order it... I'll have pureboost send me E85 and E60 maps and go from there I'm think'in is going to be the plan... still a hefty chunk to shell out.. wonder if they are going to have a black Friday sale... if I buy now I'll be upset if they do... gonna call them... Like to get this all done before November... I waited way to long to have my pipe installed... 2 years is way to long...lol... biggest issue was finding a place I can trust installing... found it so let the games begin!

might have something to do with the inlets on the pumps... pump design itself ... very good question... at this point ... if it works ... it works... matching components to work smoothly in a system is always the challenge... took a long time to work out the electronics on my X7 heli so I'd stop crashing it into the ground cause I blew up the esc.... lol....

Stock HPFP and LPFP are rolls of the dice when adding power. Some guys have issues, some don’t.

Altho, several guys adding power have LPFP issues when it’s hot out and with low fuel. The thing gets hot.

-Stock turbo
-FBO
-Aftermarket HPFP installed
-Can immediately send Stg 2 E30 logs for review
-Can do logs on his new map this coming week
-Can get on a Dynojet (no other dyno types) in the next 1-2-weeks
-Will dyno Stock, Stg 2 E30, and Stg 2+ E30-40 tunes during the same dyno session

How can you test it?

Not sure, but hot ambient and low fuel while running the car hard is the best stress test.

He already has several guys with larger turbos that have tested it. He wants a stock turbo car with aftermarket HPFP and access to a Dynojet just to see what it will do.

In related news, he just confirmed he'll also put out a Stg 2+ Racegas map, too. Altho, I don't know how long for that one.

I do have a Dinan turbo from my old Stage 4 setup, but it looks like it’s not doing much except giving a few more hp above 5.5k rpm. My buddy is about to test it on the stock turbo to see just how much it will do on a Dynojet, but so far seems like it’s adding good power.

Halim is just about done tweaking the map and wants to release it as a new OTS in the next month, so I’d say put your hardware on and wait for the OTS map and save $500 by skipping the custom tune. Or, wait for the non-M2 N55 OTS to be fully released and then put your hardware on.

As a comparison, I tried to get Cary to tune the exact same hardware and not only was he never able to get a super solid map in place with no issues (even after 10+ revisions), but Halim’s map is stronger and is adapting better to varying Emixes and weather.
You convinced me and I am glad that I waited. I have only installed the HPFP, now to install XHP, MST inlet, and CTS CAI. The APEX wheels and drag radials are here as of today. Hopefully this winter I can get the OTS tune into the 11's with this heavy F32.

Nice!

We’re all trying to track down Dynojet curves for stock turbo N55’s to see how they perform with just the map and HPFP. Let us know if you decide to hit the rollers!

I plan to, just need to find the time and ability to be awake during the day. It's difficult because I work nights.
