F36 Tailgate Dashcam

Hi all,

Looking for anyone who has some tips or advice on installing the rear dash cam on the F36 tailgate. I've referenced many guides and dashcam install on many different cars, F30's, X5's, etc. but it seems like the rear dash cam for the F36 is more complicated because of the tailgate.

I think I understand how to do everything except for routing the cable through the tailgate rubber tube like how it was done for the X5 here:

If you notice at 17:37 (
), the weather stripping comes off really easily. On my F36, that is not the case. It almost seems like the weather stripping is glued on (maybe by design). I can pull the headliner down a bit and see the gap but risk permanently deforming it. I don't think I can create a large enough gap to thread the cable through the rubber tube anyways.

Any tips and advice on this would help!

Not sure about the F36 but on my X3 I just routed the wire through the hinge. I just removed the trim and zip tied it to the other wires. I assume you can do something similar.
