Wanting to lower the ride
So as you know, this car sits up fairly high off the ground. It's great for clearance but looks like it has some room to be lowered without impairing daily driveability. I want to fill out the wheel well, as well as give it a sportier look, but am having some issues. There aren't any companies to my knowledge who make kits for this car, and I do not want to find out after installing that regular 335i springs and struts do not fit this car for whatever reason. I also have adaptive suspension which adds yet another road block. I was hoping someone could help me understand what I can use to lower this vehicle properly given the circumstances. Thanks!

This should lead you in the right direction! :
https://www.ramspeed.com.au/2013/10/...-kw-coilovers/ http://www.autoevolution.com/news/kw...ery-67221.html https://www.turnermotorsport.com/BMW...-coilover-kits Having the adaptive suspension makes things more tricky. As well as having X-drive. Seeing as most kits are for cars without either of them. It's not like this is the ONLY model ever made with adaptive suspension or 4WD to come out of Bavaria. Surely a seasoned tuner-shop that specializes in "ze Germans" could make it work with a little financial incentive

Thank you so much for these articles and your help! I guess I should have done a little more research as it looks like this wasn't too hard for you to find

So back to this topic again! Instead of coil overs, I was going for a cheaper and simpler solution, springs! I was looking at H&R Sport Springs but they don't seem to make any for the F34. I was reading a thread on someone who used F31 spring sets instead which worked fine, I just want to confirm something like this would work. I will be calling H&R tomorrow to discuss, but was hoping someone could help shed some light on this topic!

Look up the BMW suspension components for the F34, check the part numbers against those for the F30. If they're the same then aftermarket parts for the F30 will fit the F34. If not they won't.

I think that the F34 looks a bit less "up on tippy-toes" with the M-Sport optional 19-inch 598M wheels. What I find jarring is the butt-higher rake on the car, which exaggerates the Hunchback of Dingledorf look at the rear of the car - if only BMW could recalibrate the rear suspension to just ride a 1/2" lower. That small change would make all the difference in the world, in my eyes.

Yes. I have AC Schnitzer springs. They definitely improve the look of the car, particularly the back. They only lower the car by about an inch, so there's plenty of room.

Also have you had any issues with bottom outs with new install? Are you running anything else other than just the springs? How has ride improved/decreased after installation? Thanks!

I have the adaptive suspension. I have the M-Sport package on the car but don't believe it changes anything in the suspension due to xDrive.
