Designs & Finishes

ARC-8 - 17" / 18" / 19"

The lightest flow formed wheel we make. Also the most affordable. A deep lug recess allows for easy access for beefy impact sockets without scratching the wheel face. Available in Profile 1 (less concavity) and Profile 3 (deep concavity). The less concave profile provides increased caliper clearance on narrow applications, while the deep concave profile reduces weight and creates a stunningly aggressive appearance on low offset and wide width applications. Both profiles are available in 17”, 18”, and 19” diameters. Face profile is determined by offset and width and cannot be selected independently.

EC-7 - 18" / 19"

Massive brake clearance & a plethora of fitments. The curved spokes of the EC-7’s face beautifully contour around some of the largest brake calipers available. The split "Y" spokes were carefully evaluated from every aspect to ensure light weight and remarkable strength. Available in Profile 1 (less concavity), Profile 2 (medium concavity), and Profile 3 (deep concavity). Profile 1 provides increased caliper clearance on narrow applications, while the deepest concave face reduces weight and creates a stunningly aggressive appearance on low offset and wide-width applications. All three profiles are available in both 18”, and 19” diameters. Face profile is determined by offset and width and cannot be selected independently.

FL-5 - 18"

Gorgeous flow formed lip with I-beam spokes for reduced weight. Both the inner and outer lips are flow formed to stand up to all the abuse the street and track have to offer. The spokes of the FL-5 were designed to be robust where they need to be, and extra lightweight where they should be. Weight is reduced by CNC machining material out from the sides of each spoke. It’s expensive and avoided by almost every manufacturer, but affordable with volume. Available in Shallow, Medium, and Deep lip profiles. This maximizes spoke concavity and reduces weight on the FL-5 design. Lip size is determined by offset and width, and cannot be selected independently.

SM-10 - 18" / 19"

Modern design with reinforced lips and I-beam spokes. Like the FL-5, the SM-10 spokes were also designed to be robust where they need to be, and extra lightweight where they should be. Weight is reduced by CNC machining material out from the sides of each spoke. Available in Profile 2 (medium concavity) and Profile 3 (deep concavity). The medium concavity is offered on narrow-width applications, while the deep concavity is offered on our wide-width applications. Concavity is dependent on width and offset, and cannot selected independently.

Fit Matters

The right solution for every application. An optimized car setup begins with the perfect wheel and tire fitment. Without model-specific attention to each wheels specifications, maximum performance is compromised. Each size was selected to find the right balance between a clean fit and the most grip possible. Each design's wide range of widths, offsets, and face profiles result in unique fitments ranging from 8.5" to 11" wide. Each wheel combines these features to meet the different brake caliper, strut, and fender clearance needs of each BMW model. Most vehicle models have options for wheels that range from direct-fit to aggressive for specialty applications. Daily drivers and professional racers don't have the same needs, so why should they be forced to buy the same exact fitment?

100% OEM Compatibility

No need to change your wheel bolts, center caps, or TPMS sensors. All Apex BMW wheels were designed from the start to work with OEM 60º tapered hardware, which means both OEM lug bolts and aftermarket stud kits with the proper lug nut seat type will fit perfectly. All of our 5x120 BMW wheels use a 72.56mm center bore, no hubcentric rings or adapters are necessary. All wheels come with gloss black Apex center caps, but you can also snap-in your OEM BMW caps for a more OEM+ look. All Apex wheels accept OEM and aftermarket equivalent TPMS sensors, and any standard-sized metal or rubber valve stem.

Brake Clearance

If the spokes or barrel of a wheel can’t clear your brakes, the wheel can’t be used at all. We’ve made sure all of our flow formed wheels clear OEM steel brakes spacer-free when the correct vehicle-specific designs and fitments are used. With many applications, even big brake kits will clear spacer-free. The 17" ARC-8 clears many kits up to 355mm. Our 18" wheels clear up to 380mm, including some variants of the Brembo GT kit, which has long been the benchmark as one of the toughest brake setups to clear. Weight Optimized

We conducted extensive Finite Element Analysis to reinforce high-stress areas and to remove material where it didn’t improve strength. The end result is a flow formed wheel with an ideal balance of strength and weight.

True VIA - JWL & Beyond

Many companies promote their wheels as being certified by the VIA when they actually aren’t. That’s like using the USDA logo on food without permission. Apex flow formed wheels are officially tested and registered by the VIA in Japan, and we have the proof to back it up. Japan’s JWL is a standard for wheel load ratings. Our wheels exceed those ratings. Most manufacturers only meet the minimum, while some even fall below—yet they still claim to be JWL. Always verify load ratings before you buy.

Hub Centric - All APEX BMW wheels with a 5x120mm bolt pattern are purpose built featuring a 72.56mm center bore. No centering rings required.



Center Caps - We don't charge extra for caps and we design our BMW wheels to be interchangeable with the OE roundel cap for enthusiasts seeking a clean factory look. All wheels come with our gloss Black APEX caps included. We also offer optional gloss red or gloss blue APEX caps.

The terms also say that you have to buy 4 together for the replacement program, but for a staggered setup, only 2 may be on sale. Can I buy 2 and wait to see if the others go on sale during the "ongoing sale" as "products [are] updated every 2 weeks depending on inventory.". I'm not in a hurry as I have plenty of tread left on my current set of tires and am looking to replace the wheels only when time for a new set of tires.

For the APEX 360 50% replacement program, the original purchaser’s order must be for at least four or more wheels in a matching square or staggered set to qualify. Separate individual orders for a pair of wheels placed on different dates will not be eligible for the 50% replacement program. These terms are set in place to keep this amazing APEX 360 program a viable option for our customers, and ensure we efficiently handle any inquires that we receive.

These wheels are still available, but this is quite an aggressive option for the F30. They would protrude just under 4mm more than the aggressive 18x9 ET30 square fitment we generally recommend. It's going to rub like crazy if you run 235/50-17s. We generally recommend 235/45-17s for our normal ET40 wheels on this chassis which will probably still rub with these ET20 wheels.

If you actually order these, be prepared to dial in plenty of negative camber in the front and roll the fenders in the rear. Otherwise, I'd recommend taking the easy way out and going with the 17x8.5 ET40s instead.

One other thing to point out is that if your daughter is curbing the wheels now, buying a wheel that actually pokes out beyond the fender probably isn't the best idea even if there will be extra tire sidewall to protect them. Lastly, all blem sales are final so you'll want to be really sure that this is a setup you want before ordering. If you'd still like to order them, shoot us a message at GarageSale@apexraceparts.com! You will certainly be one of the only F30s running around on E30 M3 Spec wheels if you make it work.
