Exhaust Tip Options For Stock 320/328d?

I have a 328d with a stock exhaust. I briefly considered painting my stock tip or swapping it out for the OEM black chrome one, but I decided that color wasn't really the issue. I think the shape and size is what bothers me. Are there any good aftermarket tip options for my car? Looking for something slightly larger, but not gigantic. I think maybe a 3-inch diameter would be nice. Or something oval-shaped like they had on the E90 318d.

If you have a pre-LCI the m performance dual tip exhuast from Europe can be modified to fit. I believe the guy with the JDM build had a garage do his and he stated the tips needed to be extended. I have an LCI and I bought the the tips and we have a little bit different exhaust setup so I'm going to have a shop do something custom with them to fit.

Any link or additional info on the tips you're talking about? Part number?

I know these are an option (BMW part number 18302296889) but if you have the M-Sport rear it also needs the bumper reprofiling and has an additional trim piece...so I've not done it.

That's exactly the type of mod I was looking for, thanks for sharing! I think you may have mistyped that last part though. It appears if you have an msport rear you can just buy a 328/330 rear diffuser instead of cutting the bumper and installing the additional trim piece. That's only required if you have a standard bumper.

Bummer, I was hoping it was plug and play

The X3 28d has an oval tip, but I don't think it looks too great

I got a set of black slipons off eBay about a year or so ago.
It’s modestly larger diameter but does what I need it to do, ie not look like a VW bug’s peashooter, and not look dirty all the time like the stock one did.
Plus I have a spare in case it gets scratched.

The opening on mine is the same as the pipe diameter, so you really can’t go any bigger.

Little hard to tell how it looks from that angle. Do you have anymore photos and/or the eBay link where you purchased it?

Best I can do. It’s black and fits. Anything bigger would be a cut off pipe and Weld on tip.
It’s visually amd physically bigger than the stock chrome one, maybe 3/8” diameter more.

When I got it it was $24, now they are asking $43, and I wouldn’t pay that… they are all the same on eBay though so find one like it.
