VRSF Charge Pipe on Stock N55

Currently running only the VRSF CP upgrade on my N55 F30. I'm planning to do other mods but not in a rush to do anything, just wanted to make sure it's safe to run on the stock engine. I have a rough idle sometimes and have had the P112F code appear and disappear, and was wondering if adding the other supporting mods with the charge pipe would help anything run smoother. I'm very new to the modding scene and all help is appreciated. Hopefully this isn't a dumb question lol thanks all!

the charge pipe is fine on a stock motor.. I would check for leaks tho if you still have those codes and issues

AS the previous posters have mentioned the vrsf pipe is perfectly fine if not preferable to run on a stock motor as a result of the flimsy stock design. The code you are getting is indicating a vacuum leak which could be coming from the charge pipe. When I put my VRSF on I could not for the life of me get it to properly latch on to the intercooler so I'd start there. Also make sure your rubber grommet is on both pipes securely. Lastly, make sure your methanol injection bungs are completely tightened via the alan wrench provided. If this doesn't work just bring it to a shop and have it smoke tested and they'll iron everything out.

when you installed your charge pipe did you have to replace the mounting bracked that holds the bottom of the pipe to a small bracket? My stock CF just blew and i was looking at vrsf and er for a replacement but noticed the plastic grommet holding the stock pipe in broke but cant find any info on the mount online?

There is no mount or bracket for the charge pipe..
Did something else break?

Im pretty sure its not needed with an aftermarket CF and yes its a plastic grommet holding the bottom of the stock CF to a metal bracket. I found some install guides for vrsf and tuner and they mentioned the bracket not being needed after the install.

In that case...yeah, none of the aftermarket pipes have it.

Definitely go ER if you are able to pay the difference. ER fits in easily as thats what I have, heard VRSF can be a very tight fit and also caused some rubbing issues for people on the forum I saw to

Pretty sure VRSF rubbing issues were only on very early iterations (several years ago), and only for x-drive. The main thing to watch out for is boost leaks from the connection points.
