Hello everyone, I’m currently looking for an advise/ guidance on how to install / retrofit this rear view camera module for my 2015 428i Gran Coupe. I purchased this unit from eBay but the seller is not answering any emails. I’m pretty sure someone has completed this retrofit on this particular model (1317D) I can’t find any videos or pictures showing the installation on the F36, and I’m unsure on how to wire the system correctly. Please see details below:

1-Where do I connect the Black and Red wires coming from the camera?
2- Do I need to connect the Green with the Red wire together to send power back to the camera?
I would appreciate any help, thank you in advance!

Hello, Thank you for your response. I purchased this unit from eBay, maybe it’s the same module kit as the one you are referring to from Aliexpress (1317D). The seller is not responding to emails and I’m unsure on how to wire up the system.

Yes it's the same unit as can be seen on the label. No maybe about it.

Google Search is your friend.

You stated you purchased on eBay in Post 1. So you contact seller from alibaba and state you are potential customer and want install instructions to decide if you can do it.

Hello, I’m sorry that took me so long to reply back to you. I just wanted to complete the installation so that I can share some tips. I want to thank you for all your advice! I contacted the seller from Aliexpress as you suggested and he said that the Green and Red wires must be connected to send the power back to the camera, the Black and Red wires coming from the camera harness don’t need to be connected so I cut them off to make it easier to route the cables. I completed the installation yesterday and everything is working as normal. Again thank you for all your help. Regards
