Why does Sat Radio sound better than HD-FM & Spotify through AUX?

I have the Harmon Kardon speakers in Logic 7 surround sound.

SiriusXM sounds so good. The sound is crystal clear with good bass. Why does it sound so much better than HD radio and Spotify set to max quality?

It doesn't.

In fact, at its low bit rate on the SXM Servers and then recoded again for transmission, it's literally impossible.

It sounds better on newer 2016+ NBT EVO cars than the CIC/NBT pre 2016 models with the old Sirius Chipset, but a 20 year old codec can only do so much.

As for feeding anything through the analog aux input, that's pretty self evident.

In all fairness, I stated analog AUX in response to OP.

OP clarified stating USB.

Not knowing what smartphone or bitrate limited carrier data plan OP has could also be a factor.
