Teach me Oh wise ones....

Been driving an 08-E93 most recently for 6 years and just picked up a 15-F33.
Just got it yesterday and amazed by the difference in technology.

What are some of the most popular items to look into upgrading ASAP?
(I run a Collision Center so paint/body mods are already on the radar)

Mostly thinking of APPS and technology items first off...

Get bimmercode. You can code a lot of features like seat belt chime off. You can also disable the nav screen disclaimer. Search for bimmercode. Look into bootmod3 if you are looking for performance gains. Great tune that will give 50hp right off the bat.

You can also code via cable and laptop, bit more involved but once you’ve got over the fear factor quite simple.

Install a dash cam and if no one rides in the back, remove the rear headrests. It’ll improve visibility.

Yes you can turn off the seatbelt chime with an App.

The best stuff can only be done with a laptop and cable.

Yeah you can get them on Amazon. Some have Bluetooth so you can use them with a phone app.

I just got the Vgate iCar Pro and it's been working perfectly with Bimmercode.

Yeah, the F33 rollbars are next to the headrests. When you do it (obviously put the top down first), you have to yank up HARD. I like the way it looks too without the rear headrests. Only my dog sits in the back and most of the time she wants to sit in the front.

Hit the coding subforum and check out the threads there. Most of the stuff I did in easy mode. The more complicated stuff is done in expert mode which is all german so I looked through and read up before I did the coding.

Lol. She was in the backseat when I left. When I came back she moved to the front and is giving me the “why is there a human in my seat?!” look.

Got my Vgate same day from Amazon Prime. Had to play with this last night. Wife pulls in the garage and just shakes her head at me.
Coded autofold mirrors, M-Perfomance nav welcome and cluster, brighter angel eye'z, and my favorite that I'll probably use once in my life.....Video in motion.

Going to look into bootmod3 next! Thanks for your input everyone. Ill get some good shots this weekend. Florida is in convertible season for the next 5-6 months

***Anyone know if you can put photos as a welcome screen or maybe a album of revolving photos like a PC screen saver***

Get this, see photo, to run with BimmerCode. It's on their approved list and also has its own cool app that can run other gauges such as boost on your phone plus do 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
BootMod3 is awesome. You'll need an Ethernet to OBD2 cable to flash it from your laptop

If you have an N55 engine you should replace plastic charge pipe. It will crack right at the 90 degree bend into the throttle body. Evolution Raceworks makes highest quality best fitting CP.

Well seemingly BMW designed it so but half-assed the crap out of it. Nothing there at all. On ignition start ups you should see where the display is outlined.

I thought there were some additional warning lights in that area, but can't recall which ones they might be.
