Manual boot and fuel lid release

Hi,

I recently got a 3 GT and noticed that in the manual it mentioned a handle for manual boot release (in case electric fails etc) and also a cord for manual fuel lid release.
Interestingly I cannot find either on my car. The manual is relatively clear on where the cord for the fuel lid is, but totally unclear where the boot release is.
Either way I looked pretty much everywhere and could not find either.
Is it not available on all trim levels or something? The car is from the end of 2016, it's the facelift version (F34 LCI).

I don't need to use either at this point, but it's good to know in case I ever have to.

The tailgate release is a handle in the far rear corner. It should be easy to spot, the color is a light green, as it glows in the dark. The fuel cover release is under the rear quarter floor cover.

So, by far rear corner do you man the corner where the toolkit is stored etc? Could not see anything.
And fuel cover cord is basically under the cover above battery, right? Well I looked carefully there and could not find anything.

I'll try and make some pictures.

In my car both are near the battery, the tailgate release in the luggage compartment, the fuel door release below it.

Interesting. I have the green manual boot release in my 2016, but I don't see a release for the fuel door. I'll have to take a closer look.

Work on pulling the carpet panel above the battery, I'm sure it fell behind at some point when the battery was serviced.

I'm pretty sure the handle is an option.
Here is what mine is listed as: S5DSA - Emergency Release Luggage Compartment

Since the car is a hatch back and the trunk is not sealed off from the cabin, handle is not mandated. aka, you cant be "locked" in the trunk.

Now this is making sense. I don't have this option. A bit strange to offer it as an option though

The interior boot (trunk) handle is a US item, required by local regulations (FMVSS).
