My key won't work! Help please
Hey guys so I have a 435i and my key won't work. I changed battery twice. Still didn't work. Checked and replaced damaged fuses, still nothing. I even got my key checked to see if it's working and it's 100% functional. I was told that it could be the module but most likely the antenna that is in the back of the car. I know if I replace it it'll need to be coded but I can't seem to find the part or the part number anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much

Which aspect of the key isn't working? The remote fob performs multiple operations that are kind of separate/independent of each other:

So it won't unlock or lock or start the car. I'd have to remove the metal piece to unlock and lock the car and put the key up to the steering wheel for it to turn on and it's getting so annoying 😭

Just an FYI (for those that don't know)...the battery is used to power the remote for locking/unlocking & arming/disarming the car. For starting the car...the remote is self powered through induction. There's a ring antenna behind that little icon on the steering column that powers up the transponder chip inside the remote that allows the remote to communicate with the CAS/BDC/ECU/DME control modules which need to share the encrypted individual serial number (ISN) assigned specifically to your car. If that ISN doesn't match in all components the car won't start. So even with a dead battery inside the remote...you should still be able to start the car by holding the remote next to the little icon on the steering column. That's why it was asked as to what feature of the remote wasn't working.

If the car is under warranty I would bring it to the dealer. But looks like holding it to the steering column works so it's not receiving power from the battery as stated. Are you sure the 2nd battery you used wasn't DOA? Sometimes these Amazon batteries are garbage.

I had a problem with the remote and replaced the battery and it still did not work. I solved the problem by cleaning the contacts in the remote (inside the remote and on the cover) with alcohol. The remote picks up moisture in your pocket and deposits can attach to the contacts. Problem solved.
