Going to a smaller gap/colder plug probably just made your combustion worse.
Thank you for clarifying that. I was misunderstanding. I ordered some OE Bosch spark plugs. It says they are pre-gapped to 8mm(.032) Should I gap them to .028?

You should check the gap but not adjust it if its within spec. These plugs are very sensitive and adjusting the gap can actually damage the tip (especially if trying to open gap).

So I contacted BM3 and they said .01-.05 knock is engine knock, you just have to zoom in to see it. So I was getting knock on stock Bosch Plugs on cylinder 5. I ordered both new Bosch and NGK plugs and I will be playing with them both in my friends garage to see what works best.
I also ordered MST inlet turbo V2 and M Performance airbox with extra (red) opening. Once they all come in, I will get a shop to install them.
