Cutting Diffuser Plastic

I got my diffuser from IND and I need help on cutting the plastic piece between where the tailpipe goes. I guess its so it wont get messed up in shipping.
Its already been painted and just wanted to know the easiest way to cut these myself without damaging the diffuser since it already been painted.

Thank you.

A Dremel or any sharp box cutter will do.

Curious, did you paint the M Perf diffuser two tone? Would love to see a pic of it.

Yes, I used a box cutter then a file to make the edges clean.

That is sharp!

To be frank, you are going to have a little area of black plastic showing where you remove the material which would drive me nuts, especially since I had my diffuser painted white. If that wont bother you then you'll be fine. Just be careful cutting so you dont damage any of the surrounding areas. If having a little bit of black plastic showing does bother you then you should get some touch paint to cover it. This is precisely why I advise removing that little bit of plastic before painting. Too bad iND either do that or didnt inform you.

You and your OCD, you'll never ever see the part where he made the cut, it will be facing the underneath of the car LOL!

I agree tho, your body shop should have cut it beforehand like mine did.

Leave me alone. Take your OCD tendencies and get back to detailing!

Well, they shipped it to me and they said BMW puts that there so it doesnt get bent during shipment so since they shipped it they didnt want it to mess up.

Ill prob have someone do it or use a dremel or send it back and have them do it
Thanks.
