I did some coding on my 2012 F30 335 a couple years ago. Does the exact same setup work for a 2017 F30 340i or do I need some updated software?Looking to do some minor stuff like startup screen disclaimer delete, remove seat belt warning sound, etc.

Depends on which PSdZData version is installed, but I think it must be upgraded to the latest version.

I don't know which Launcher you are using, but you probably need to upgrade because older versions no longer generate token.
