6WB Cluster Coding Issues
I'm in the process of coding my 6WB cluster with esys. (2015 BMW 328i)
(esys version 3.27.1) (psdzdata version 63.3) I currently have HU_ENTRYNAV and BKOMBI and saw in a few other posts that you have to add 6WB to the FA. I did that and now I read somewhere else that in order for DKOMBI to show up and replace BKOMBI, you must VO code the HU_ENTRYNAV first. I did that but BKOMBI still shows up. At this point, I'm lost and could use some assistance. Thanks in advance. |

Launch esys -> Connect -> select expert mode -> select coding -> select read FA -> select save FA -> select edit FA -> add 6WB to your FA -> right click on FA and select Calculate FP -> save FA (floppy disk button at the top left) -> select expert mode -> select VCM -> open your saved FA there -> select MASTER tab -> right click FA -> select Calculate FP -> select write FA.
After that you will see a message at the bottom left (FA FP Written) Go to coding section, read SVT (VCM) and do the further work, it should show DKombi. you will have to flash it too to! Last edited by RuleNormaliai; 12-19-2019 at 04:20 PM.. |

Then try the following...
First check whether the following checkmarks are set. Under Options -> Settings -> Options "Update VCM after TAL-Calculation" "Update MSM after TAL-Calculation" If not then please set it (see picture). After that load and activate the FA (with 6WB). Read SVT or read ECU. Mark the ZBE and code it. Then try again to read SVT or read Ecu and look if the DKombi appears. |

Your BKombi is a 6WA (extended cluster) and you already have the optical MOST fiber cable installed or not? |

Did you remove 6WA from your FA when you added 6WB?

Hello everyone,
I have a 2017 440Xi and I had retrofit the 6WB cluster around 3 months ago, suddenly one day my service got reset and it was telling me that I have to do the oil change, and soon after that dealership called me to book me in for service because they got a call from the car that it needs service and I told them what happened and they had to reset the service. Yesterday the same thing happened and now they say we have to do diagnostics which you know it will cost a lot and I know it's because of the cluster because every time this happens, first cluster goes blank for a few seconds. I am not sure if it's because of any mistake that I did during coding or not. If anybody can help I would appreciate it a lot. |
