F30/32 door glass replacement

Has anyone seen any guides on how to replace the glass itself?

I found a few e90 guides which explain about the glass being held in via plastic grips/clips, I feel like there must be something more to it though?

I have a 2015 F32 so the glass is frameless luckily.

Hi mate,
I m having the same issue and i cannot find the answer anywhere. I ve seen the guy from the tint shop that they didn t even break a sweat and the did not get door panel out. They ve removed the outside rubber, inserted a plastic thingy between the glass and metal and that s it.

Yep, so you want to pull that horizontally out of the door (to release it from under the wing mirror) then lift up. You'll then notice that there's two cut outs in the frame which allow you to fit a tool in, you need the window fully up to access the bolts and begin to undo them, one notch at a time.. it literally takes a few seconds, but at first it'll take you 5-10 minutes to get the rhythm of working in such a tight gap.

This is the tool I used: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Laser-5842-.../dp/B00J06O7ZY

You'll also need the door panel off to get a hold of the actual cog-screws and fully unwind them by hand - there's also plastic clips at the bottom which need prying open
