I did this retrofit in 2015 at my old F30.
I just checked my old bills from 2015 and found exactly this number.
So i can tell that this cable set has the correct length.

The whole kit is actually really inexpensive. The only issue I see is that when running the part # with my vin it doesn't say it's compatible. I have factory PDC f/r and CIC pro nav.

Just to make sure:
-Retrofit kit: 66212361833 (containing: hsd-cable [long enough for dashboard install according to AtzeBMW], wiring harness, camera, trunkhandle, screw, tap, fuse and cableties)
-Control unit: 66539393952 (yes, I know, this unit also has the connections for top and side view. I probably won't ever use these connections, but the cost is the same as rear view only and if i ever change my mind i won't need another control unit. I'm guessing it won't cause errors when they are unused)
-control unit bracket: 66539232797

If I order these i'm good to go or do I need anything else? (Apart from coding)

For those looking for mounting points in the boot area. Found on mine just above the battery two lugs spaces exactly to take the camera module. Just needed to order 2 nylon nuts same as the ones holding the boot floor fuse box in place.

This puts the system away from any risk of damage and looks very stock

Did anyone try with this harness set ?
Part number is : 61 12 2 183 660
This harness is very cheap(~ 40€).
I made the order and will try install soon.

EDIT: It's also a short HSD cable, but at least it's cheaper than the original harness cable for f30

Yes, this cable can also be taken.
But the TRSVC then must be placed in the trunk.

The longer hsd cable set (Complete wiring harness) has the part number 66122360176 like already written one page before.

I'm not sure if the rear view camera can be installed with HU_ENTRYNAV.

From all of my research it doesn't appear to be available a la cart.

I have not read correctly.
On the previous page we were talking about the cable set (HSD + connection wires).
Only the HSD cable is also possible but i don't know the part number.
I know some people bought a HSD cable from the 5 Series F10.
There is one with a length of 4020mm which maybe could work.
But then there will be missing the other connection wires.

Hi guys is there a cable extencion for the hsd cable
Got the camera fitted to my car but the cable is only long enough to sit on top of the battery but I want it to be fitted to the front were it should be
Any help would be appreciated as Bmw parts department are useless to help .....

You can now install the TRSVC above the battery.
Or is the cable also too short for this?

It's literally sitting on top of the battery
I know there is a extension hsd for the 5 series but BMW won't tell me the part number

Woudlnt worry about it there is perfect fitment place above the battery near the top of the boot. Unit sits there perfectly just go with that and save the money.

This might be a problem later if you want to install top/side view because the hsd cable wouldn't be long enough to reach boot.

Valid forgot about that option , though that is one mod that would be bottom of the pile IMO. Rear lights, digital dash , F15 screen , Idrive 5 far better spend
