Very late answer...

But it's fuse F34 in the front power distribution box.
It should disable both.

Hi ... has anyone successfully disabled the arms by removing fuse 34 in an F32? Just want to verify before I undertake the effort (I'm a newbie). Thanks.

Well, I did it ... I removed fuse 34 on my F32 and it did the trick - extender arms are now disabled. Car didn't explode and no strange lights or warnings in the dashboard or any other unexpected behavior, so I think I'm good to go. Thanks.

There will be a code thrown for it, but that's not of any concern because you know you pulled the fuse. My old 428 I did the fuse trick and when coding my 435 there was a cheat code for coding off the belt extenders! How convenient

Think the dealership will give me grief when I take it in for routine service? The car is still under warranty.

If I can disable via coding, then that's the route I would prefer to take. Have any info on the code for coding it off?

I think you can do it with one click in BimmerCode. Check their website.

I don't understand why people want to disable it. It's a very cool feature. I sometimes catch myself waiting for my wife's Mercedes to hand me the belt. My friend's Bentley Bentayga has them in the front AND the rear.

Waranty doesn't care they understand. They'd have to be morons to invalidate warranty over that... unless you have an issue that relates to you pulling a fuse which I don't see probable.

Thanks. I checked BimmerCode and didn't see a coding option to disable the arms.

People who want to disable fit into two categories, I think. First, those that are tall with long arms and sit relatively far back ... and, therefore, have no issue reaching the belt without the arm (in fact, the arm actually gets in the way). Second, those that are quick to buckle-up ... and/or don't have the patience to wait for the arm. I happen to fit into both categories.

It would have been nice if BMW made it easier for owners to disable the arms - maybe they will do so in the G2*.

Would you happen to know how to code it out?
All the posts I’ve come across refer to E92’s FRM module and “Enable_Guetbringer” but for the life of me I cannot find it anywhere!

Just like the 5 flash blinker coding, if your car has been updated by the dealer within the last year or 2, then this option was "patched".
