Buzzing steering wheel/airbag

I've done a search and couldn't find anything, so I'm starting this thread.

My steering wheel (standard M Sport wheel) produces a buzzing sound when turned at a certain angle (usually round a roundabout). It more prominent when the cabin has warmed up.

If I place my palm on the airbag cover (i.e. where the BMW badge is) and apply a bit of pressure it disappears.

When the steering wheel is straight, there's no buzz.

Is this a known issue? Is it the airbag or the steering wheel trim? I've shone a torch down behind the wheel at that angle that produces the noise (obviously when stationary) but I can't see anything.

I wouldn't be confident removing the wheel or airbag, and in any case it's still under warranty, so is it a trip to the stealers?

Wakefield changed the airbag on my 440gc for this, it seemed temperature related. Was fixed in less
than an hour.

Thanks for the quick response. Did you have to demonstrate it? I can imagine it's one of those things that magically disappears when there's a technician sitting beside you.
