Buzzing steering wheel/airbag
I've done a search and couldn't find anything, so I'm starting this thread.
My steering wheel (standard M Sport wheel) produces a buzzing sound when turned at a certain angle (usually round a roundabout). It more prominent when the cabin has warmed up. If I place my palm on the airbag cover (i.e. where the BMW badge is) and apply a bit of pressure it disappears. When the steering wheel is straight, there's no buzz. Is this a known issue? Is it the airbag or the steering wheel trim? I've shone a torch down behind the wheel at that angle that produces the noise (obviously when stationary) but I can't see anything. I wouldn't be confident removing the wheel or airbag, and in any case it's still under warranty, so is it a trip to the stealers?

Thanks for the quick response. Did you have to demonstrate it? I can imagine it's one of those things that magically disappears when there's a technician sitting beside you.
